As of today taking account the most recent roster maneuvers, one could argue that two offensive players will be cut that are worthy of a roster spot if the offense was limited to 25 roster players:

QB (2): Brady, Mallett
RB (6): Ridley, Vereen, Blount, Washington, Bolden, Develin
TE (5): Gronkowski, Fells, Hoomanawanui, Ballard, Sudfeld
WR (6): Amendola, Edelman, Thompkins, Dobson, Boyce, Slater
OT (4): Solder, Vollmer, Cannon, Svitek
OG (2): Mankins, Connolly
OC (2): Wendell, Stankiewitch

Nah, this was one thing Tebow already had down. Not that Bill isn't a master at it, or that it doesn't align with his philosophy, but that's classic Tebow.

The problem is the way you have it listed with the numbers and the way you have framed the question.

As the Pats normally carry 4 TEs or less, so, whomever is the 5th TE would be cut. Same situation applies with the RBs. Sorry, all of them might be great guys, but I think Bill normally carries 4 or 5, so at least one of them wouldn't be making it.

It sucks, but that's the reality of NFL rosters.

You don't know WHY they voted yes. You are making PRESUMPTIONS.

I'm going to presume that you understand how coaches fill out/build their rosters. Yes, the very same criteria would apply to Tim Tebow. IF Bill does not see a need for him or a use for him that would justify the roster slot, then sure, Bill should cut him.

Or, if there is a need or use that Tebow could fill, but he hasn't performed well enough to demonstrate that he could do it, then yes, Bill should cut him.

Rosters aren't about "the best 53 players", rather, it's about getting the "best 53 players that suit the team's needs/objectives". Yet again, if Tebow doesn't do that, then he should be cut.

Depends on how you are looking at it / what question you are asking. On the surface, my Young - Tebow analogy wasn't a presumption, rather, it was an example of a QB going to a new team and being developed, even though he had a number of years as a pro under his belt.

Now, if you were referring to my belief that Bill and Josh might be looking at Tebow with that kind of thing in mind, yeah, that's a presumption as I don't know that it's the case.
