Hanley Ramirez Designated for Assignment.

I saw that. He was not trending in a positive direction and management must not want him to vest in his option.

I would have thought sending Eduardo Nunez to the I R for his sore knee would have been the trick.

That's what I would've done too: send Nunez to the DL (that is, as long as Pedroia was already on the 40-man roster), then quietly sought trading partners for Ramirez.

Davey Dumbrowski lives up to his name again.

Heard a talking head on nesn say this was a panic move.

The real panic move was getting Ramirez and Sandoval in the same day in 2015.

I hated both moves at the time, and I still do.

I like it. Looks like a N.E Patriot type of move.

Not too many sh!ts given on this one ...

Forgot to mention what a wonderful influence David Ortiz' "leadership" has been on both HanRam & the Fat Panda.

Smart move. Hanley was struggling and on pace to have his 2019 option vest, while Moreland has been hitting great and needed more regular at bats. Surprising that they did it, but it makes the team better.

Investigations???

I don't think anything's going to come from this.

So far we heard from a reporter who got carried away, and Hanley's Agent & Lawyer. It's not over until the Feds clear him or not.

Hanley isn't involved in a federal investigation. It's over.
