Other than Drake Maye and Brenden Schooler, who will be a captain in 2025?

agree that it's mostly new guys. they are really sweeping up last year's mess. maybe Gonzalez in addition to schooler and maye, and the rest new.

I'm truly befuddled by the people saying that Mack Hollins is going to be a Captain. When has he EVER been a Captain? He's not even a lock to make the team despite the guaranteed salary.

Diggs was at least a 3 yr captain with the Bills, so I can understand his potentially being one.
Morgan Moses I can see potentially being one because of his longevity as a starter in the league.

The guys look to Moses like he just came straight out of the bible. Or like he's their dad, which for some of them he could be. He's a shoe-in for captain.

Maye
Moses
Diggs
Henry
Barmore
Spillane
Davis
Schooler

It was tough for me to leave Gonzalez out, but Davis is a 7th year veteran, so I think he will get the nod.

I feel like a couple things go into picking a captain which makes it easier to say who's not then who will be.

#1 is importance to the team so QB almost HAS to be a captain and its a really bad sign if he isnt. I agree Maye is a 100% lock for one spot. I think a tackle or CB has a better chance then a guard or DT for instance.

#2 longevity with the team is a factor though not a be all end all so guys like Hunter and Dugger have a step up for a spot.

#3 personality, are you the kind of guy who gets in peoples faces when things get tough, are you the kind of guy who says what everyone else is thinking in meetings. I always come back to a quote about Lawyer Milloy being the guy with the standing to say "hey coach, why do we have to do this ****?" For that reason i dont see Gonzo getting a spot, just comes off as too quiet and professional. This is the same thing that makes me think Peppers would be a better cap then Dugger.

#4 production on the field. Despite it being an off the field "job" you have to be a starter, you have to be one of the top 10-15 players on the team. Lead by example and all that. Contract size also plays into this but again isnt a be all end all just a factor. So Milton or Barmore should get one of those spots being highest paid.

All of that to say i dont have a great idea of who will be and nothing except Maye not being a captain would surprise me. My guess is Maye, Hunter, Peppers, Spillane, Landry, Schooler.

Hi everybody! 1st post on here.

I wonder how many captains there will be this year. Seems the league average is 5 to 7 per year and Vrabel had 6 his first 2 years in Tennessee.

-Drake Maye, Stefan Diggs, Morgan Moses

-Christian Gonzalez, Harold Landry.

Can't decide between Barmore and Williams. They paid Milton and he's been highlighted before otas so I'll say him and then Schooler.

Thanks for the Info. I went back and finally found pics of him with a C on his uni as a Raider. But it was hit and miss from that season. Which is weird.

I've yet to find a picture of him in a Dolphins uniform from 2021 with the C on it. I found pictures of Elandon Roberts with a "C" on his uniform from that same year, but not Hollins.

Yeah I’m not entirely sure what to make of it either. Jason McCourty was also a captain on that 2021 Dolphins team and he didn’t wear a C patch either. Perhaps none of the Dolphins captains wore the patch that season.

I'm not a fan of first year players being team captains so its Barmore over Williams if I had to choose one or the other. Although Morgan Moses should be a captain, he shows a lot of veteran leadership in all his interviews and has been around the block a time or two.

Maye
Moses
Henry

Barmore
Spillane
Schooler
