Smackdown is now on Fridays on Fox, tons of cross promotion .. Gronkowski just "signed" w Fox to do "football"... Gronkowski is a big wrestling guy....hmmmmmmm

Romo's role is very different from what Gronk will be doing. Unless I missed something, he won't be doing any live games - which would either go really bad, or really well.

Good point, I just thought that they were trying him out on pre-game to see how he does with analysis, etc., perhaps with a greater role in the future.

I've always thought that Gronk's true post-player calling is a John Madden-type announcer. Knowledgeable, very excitably, goofy (remember, Madden was goofy on air too), likable, and with a good "brand". Of course, that is before he started flirting with wrestling, so I guess we'll see.

Just saw this Reiss report that Gronk’s first appearance on the air will be the pre-game show this Thursday. That just became must-see in my book.
