Love Gronk and his appropriate youthful joie de vivre. Enjoy 90% of it. Much more (harmless) fun guy than most players. But even at his young age he needs to put a minimal censor on his public words and actions. Yeah, I've always been a bit of a wiseass even when much older but as someone living in the public eye, he needs a modest filter.

Those of us with a more mature sense of humor like on Family Guy know that the only politically correct response was to state that he would screw an 80 year old lady, marry Tebow and again, as everyone agrees, kill Rex Ryan.

I think I speak for everyone with high comedic standards when I state that it would be much better to disparage Betty White with the imagery of having her have sex rather than have Gronk say he'd marry her than subject Tim Tebow to that type of mockery.

I hope that other members of the Patriots are mature enough to provide the correct answer when speaking to a group of impressionable college students.

The lack of a gay joke at that point would be totally classless on his part. You don't bag on Betty White, no sir.

You also don't show up at a party and refuse to play a party game because of your macho ego--if everyone else is playing along.

I really don't care either way what athletes do off the field, minus talking sh!t before a game is played, but I'd bet if I searched the archives there would be people who love Gronk saying he'd F Tebow just to take his virginity or love him spiking a Megatron would hate those same actions if it was James Harrison or Santonio Holmes. Just be consistent people. It's either all good or all bad and it's just a personal taste issue.

To the contrary, what Gronk said actually required some wit, some intelligence. If Harrison or Holmes ever repeated those words, I would credit them for having more brains than I previously thought they had.

When Gronk sat next to Revis on ESPN, he outshined him by a mile. Revis had no wit, no intelligence, and worst of all, no filter. If you lack a filter, at the very least be self-deprecating, funny and self-effacing. Gronk has his schtick.
