Gronk: arm injury

Offense will still rack yards. Where this will affect us is in the red zone. Hope he comes back healthy for the playoffs. There no need to rush.

This is what thay get for running up the score... every other team in the league would have rested their starters that late, up by that much

He was on the PAT team I am sure teams that pull their starters don't have subs for the fricken PAT team it was a freak injury. If Hernandez is finally 100% this thursday we are going to be fine with Shiancoe/Fells/Hooman picking up the slack and the defense improving.

Get in the playoffs and roll who gives a crap about these regular season games, a bye week is nice but i'll glady get to play the 6th seed Colts again wild card weekend and cream 'em.

Yeah, depending on the break, he may not even miss a game. If it is broken, it is doubtful he will play Thursday. But I wouldn't be surprised if he is playing against Miami in two weeks if it is hairline. It all depends on the break and Gronk's tolerance for pain.

My guess is the only way he misses the season is if it was a severe compound fracture which I doubt was the case.

maybe i'm missing something here, but doesn't he have to be able to use his arm and hand to catch the ball? i mean linemen have played with casts (whether they need them or not) forever (a legal club), but i'm not so sure how that works for a receiver.

unfortunately, he's not a lineman where he can use it like a club. he actually has to catch and hold the ball.

Yeah, I get that. My point is that we have no idea what kind of break it is. If he has range of motion in his hand, he might still be able to play and play well. Others have pointed out that Edelman played with a cast.

And if he didn't get hurt, nobody would be complaining he was out there. It could have happened on the first PAT. Just bad luck unfortunately.

unless it's a lot worse than it seems (and with BB it might be), I don't think this is the end of the world and i'd prefer that he just sit it out until he's healed.

All that matters is he makes it back for the playoffs... We should be able to get a bye so that gives him 7-8 weeks to heal..

We will be fine in the meantime we'll get AH81 back soon and resign Branch to help out too

This is terrible news. If Hernandez is still out next week, we could have a real tough time in NY. I hope he gets well soon!!

Just went back to my recording. He was in on the last PAT. He was on the right blocking. His Left arm went way up as he moved out of camera that followed the kick. When it panned back he was holding his left arm straight and not moving it and walked straight to the sideline while the kick was going through. He knew something was wrong.

Sad sad day.... This is why you rest your freaking starters... Brady was lucky too... BB is gonna get destroyed on the airwaves tomorrow... he has no excuse for this epic failure

I think that Ahem "Medical Help" Ahem.. will get him back sooner

Here's his excuse: "He's on the goddamn PAT team. Should we have subbed out Mesko, too?"

This thread is the very reason that Keanu is sad.
