Door number three.
I think we will draft someone and the year Brady retires we will get the top FA available in the QB market.
I think this year we draft 2 QB's ... hopefully 1 of them or Etling retires Hoyer to coaching.
Dude, you are too antsy about our next QB...it’ll work out.
Random guy we’ve never heard of gets drafted by them.
I hear Random Guy has a rocket arm. And his brother is already a DT for the Patriots, so that's a bonus.
My Draft binkie Danny Etling.
Someone stocking shelves in a market.
College scouting has never been my thing. But if Rosen can prove to be coachable, he has tremendous upside. His biggest knock is he seems to have a Jay Cutler type of interest in growing his talents and being coached (i.e. very little interest). I think he has the tools if he was traded here and listed to McDaniels and grew to be a pretty good QB. But he is definitely not good enough to rely on his raw talent alone.
As I posted in another thread, Charlie Weis raves about Grier on his SiriusXM radio show and doesn’t hide his disinterest in Rosen when the subject comes up as it does quite often.
I’m not sure how connected Weis still is with the Patriots, but no one not named Belichick or McDaniels has a better idea of what it takes to play QB in their system.
Whether the Patriots see a Brady successor as something that needs to be addressed this off-season is the question. I’m beginning to believe it might be. Brady’s state of mind is something we don’t really know. His tweet today where he joked about looking up the Expos might mean he’s thinking about his extension and wondering if he wants to leave money on the table again considering management has left him with nothing, aside from a criminally underpaid Julian Edelman, in the way of established receivers as he heads to a training camp in which he will turn 42 years old.
QB of the future? Tom Brady.
Should a fan base with the best QB situation ever fret about the position this much? The next QB has been a buggaboo around here since 2014 and in that time the team's gone to four super bowls and won three.
* Edit: the superstitious me could believe it's helping. Carry on.
Wow. This is quite a leap.
Supposedly the Patriots are keeping a close eye on the Rosen situation but don't believe Arizona will actually trade him.
Some people believe Oakland will trade up for Murray because Jon Gruden.
There was a article today that the Cardinals could draft Murray and hold on to Rosen let him play this season out and see what they have with Murray and trade the other one next season.
I'm of belief that The Patriots aren't messing around with not having a guy here.
BB was blindsided by Gronk retiring and no matter how much Tom says he's still playing BB doesn't want to be caught with his pants down if the cliff ever comes or Tom just wakes up one morning and says I'm done.
I'm of a strong belief that the QB present and future is the most important position on the team.
We will see what happens but I'm very confident they select a QB in the first three rounds of the draft either trade or selecting a rookie.
