I think hernandez might be the most hateable player for the pats. (At least off the field)

Was there ever another pats player so Infamous for bad news?

Dave Meggett comes close, was sentenced to 30 years for a vicious sex assault.

When a player arrives whose name is synonymous with beer, i.e. Tedy Bruschi (I know it is spelled differently but it pronounced "brewski"), that player will automatically be a fan favorite in these parts.

Grogan was a love/hate thing at times he was here for me at least but now it’s just love.
Eason hated…absolutely.
I think at the time people were divided on Bledsoe as well. You know, with that other guy taking over for him and becoming the goat.

On other teams, sure. One dude from Baltimore almost has as many kills as AH…that we know of. At least he didn’t get caught… then there’s the dude that got caught jerking it in a Walmart parking lot while high…I forget what team but I would think he’s hated. Probably a Jete.

He didn't kill anyone but Zeke Mowatt is up there...

I loved mini mack, he was dynamic and fun to watch
I was at a game at Shaeffer Stadium and remember Mini Mack getting tackled by what looked like the entire defense. It appeared that there was this big pile of defensive players on top of him but somehow Mini Mac was not ruled down - he was able to pop out of the pile and run the distance for a touchdown.

At 5'5" tall, he was one hell of an exciting player and I think Chuck Fairbanks said "Mini Mac is not small, he's just short."

Thanks for sharing this memory. He was a fan favorite and so much fun to wstch.

Wow... i didn't even know about him after the pats.

The tuna could keep him in line... Pete Carroll... not so much.

average player most loved-Mosi
Mosi is in a class of his own, he became 'a great' in the eyes of fans because he was so loved by them
Tatupu was way above average, the special teams leader for well over a decade who belongs in the Patriots' Hall of Fame, regardless of his deserved popularity.

Irving played his ass off here, but had plenty of off-field turmoil to balance it.

Great/disparaged if not hated

Irving Fryar had a black cloud follow him around.

No stranger to firearms he got in a fight at a RI nightclub.

Michael Bishop, loved by fans, hated by the coaches.

I'm not sure how anyone else didn't get pissed off when seeing the midget Dan Klecko trotting onto the field during the first dynasty.
