Although I'm sure we all wish Mangini had just kept his mouth shut, at least the upside is that he decided to blow the whistle in the very first game. If he had not and waited until this weekend, when his 3-10 Jets get rolled by the 13-0 Pats, I think the negative impact would have been a lot worse.

If nothing had been said earlier in the season, it's very likely that Belichick would have continued with their video taping practice. Therefore, given that Goodell had demanded that the Pats turn over all tapes, they would have obtained videos of all the games this season. Can you imagine the outcry from the media and Patriot haters considering the year that Brady has been having?

Forget the * next to SB whining, it would have extended to Brady's potential QB records, Moss' potential TD record, etc.

So, yea, we've had to endure the "cheater" BS all season, but no one can claim that this year and possibly the SB win are in any way tainted......except Mercury Morris and Don Shula of course.
