For a second round pick. And just as I was getting ready to post my seven-round mock. d%#*!@t.

Great move by Dimitroff. He may have overpaid, but he got a whale of a security blanket for Ryan.

I can't believe that Cassel (and Vrabel) only fetched a second.

I know the franchise and the signing bonus snafu's... but, still pissed off about it.

I like this move. The Falcons have done everything right the past year; I wish them well. I do wish we'd gotten more from the Cassel/Vrabes, though I recognize neither are HOF players like Gonzo. Still, an extra four, even, would have been nice.

Anyone else think Ryan makes it to the Pro-Bowl this year? Great, great young talent at QB.

We play the Falcons the 3rd week of the season!! We need a Pass Rushing OLB to not give Matt Ryan time to throw!!

Cassel + Vrabel = THIS YEAR's second, already in the books, #34.

Gonzalez = NEXT YEAR's second, NOT in the books, could be as low as #63.

Even though Gonzo is one of the top TE's in NFL history, the Chiefs shouldn't have received a 2nd round pick because of his age. Another trade showing how the Pats got shafted.

He's pretty damn close. He can make clutch throws when needed, has elite arm strength and can make accurate off balance throws when pressured. When the Falcons let him open up the offense, he will have pro bowl numbers which could be as soon this upcoming season.

Especially since that's what they'll likely be targeting at #24 now themselves.

You can scratch off Pettigrew to Atlanta in your mocks.
