As I look at the free agents signed, I must say that I have never been quite so underwhelmed. I understand the problems that we had signing folks. I am not criticizing. It is what it is and we will spend a lot, lot more next year, and get some long terms signees.

I LIKE
Gibson, signed for 3 years, definite part of the future.

THE REST
are all for one year except for he injured Takitaki, signed to a 2 year contract and who is a question mark since he is injured and likely starting on the PUP list.

I HAVE HOPE FOR SOME OF THE ONE YEAR PLAYERS
Hawkins
Leverett
Hooper
and I guess also for Uche that we re-signed late (one year because of his agent screwup)

At the time I liked the signing of Armon Watts, envisioning him as a backup who would provide decent depth as part of the rotation on the defensive line.

Now? It seems doubtful that he will make the roster, even with Barmore sidelined.

I was very underwhelmed we signed these guys but I think several will have decent roles on this team and are better than I thought in March.

Gibson, Hooper, and Marco Wilson top the list imo and look pretty good to me.

Not thrilled with Chucks but probably starting RT.

Hawkins seems like a good back up safety.

Leveret is looking like our back up center.

Slye looks like he might win the kicking battle.

I too actually liked Watts when we signed him but I haven't seen enough of him this summer.
