I voted no also..... They are still missing a player or two on the DL. Jones doesn't figure to be an impact player for a year but I have high hopes for Hightower making plays in year one.

Until they show they can makes stops and get of the field on 3rd down I gotta go with a No vote.....
 
I voted No, they are not ready. A LOT needs to be done to improve the unit as a whole. Yet, despite the negative tone of this post, I must admit I am excited to see how the personnel additions and changes improve the team.

I agree on some level that they may not be as ready as we'd like, but any/all Belichick coached defenses usually throw in a little bit more, and a little bit more throughout the year, adding new wrinkles and improving as a unit on certain things.

We have seen many instances where the defense starts to properly gel during the post-Thanksgiving run, including last year too.

I think that it may take 6, 7, even 8 games or so for everyone to come together and understand their roles, but we should see a defined improvement even from last year.
