It's easy, and only takes a few moments. If that happens, then on Dec. 6 the Patriots and Dolphins -- who started 0-3 -- will be playing for the AFC East lead. The Patriots would be 7-4 with, at best, a 3-1 division record. The Dolphins would be 6-5 with a 4-1 division record.
So last night's victory by the Dolphins only makes Sunday's game for the Patriots against the Jets that much more important. They can not only send the Jets to the mat, but they will also keep up with the Dolphins. They way Miami is playing, that is becoming more and more necessary.
What is not mentioned is the four games each team has after they play each other. Both teams play HOU and JAX. We play CAR and BUF, Miami plays TEN and PIT. Their week 17 game against a Pittsburgh team likely in a playoff fight itself may be the difference in our favor anyway, if we were to lose to them.
The article starts with the supposition that we go 1-1 againt Jets and Saints and the Fins beat the Bills, which are reasonable assumptions. (We may well go 2-0, but 1-1 is certainly reasonable.)
From the article (selective quoting IS legal and encouraged):

That's part of the point, isn't it? That we are no longer "up 2" after their win last night.WE can keep up with the DOLPHINS... Normal way to look at being up 2, isn't it....

They may have lost their NT Ferguson for the season in the process. He's having an MRI today on a reportedly serious knee injury. Last year they had a relatively injury free season save for Noodle. This year not so much.
Before us they have to travel to Buffalo, then after us they have back to back road games with JAX and TENN before finishing up with Houston and the Steelers. Some tough defenses and a crowned field... Carrying the load for the last 6 weeks will be a test for Ricky and losing your nose in the 3-4 against some teams who can run will be as well.
Again this is why I wanted Carolina to win last night.. The jets and Miami games will be key to our season, people are already giving us a loss at NO.. I dont know why but they are..

Bet with those people then. NO has not been executing very well in their last few games, and are prime for the taking.
I agree. Pats are coming at right time. Saints are banged up. Bush has a swollen knee missed 2 practices this week listed as Q. Their D is hurting safety Sharper has a knee injury is OUT & CB T Porter has a sprained MCL. Our Offense is starting to click. Any word on our RBs coming back soon?
