The only good news in this is maybe it will help take away some of his "beloved" status.

That was an excellent piece written with common sense and insightful perspective by an man who admits he's always been a Favre fan. That's the damage he has done to himself. He's lost at least half of his own - individual team loyalty aside - dedicated base of fan admirers, including among the media and even his peers.
