How does Shaughnessy get a pass to participate in the human race? Back on topic, Big Al is doing his job well right now, and if he remains healthy, will get much better as the season matriculates (thank you, Hank Stram).

Is that a gold top Les Paul standard in your avatar, JLU?

The Cowboys were averaging 418.8 yards per game and 24.8 points per game going into that game. The Pats held them significantly below their point average and below their yards average. In fact, the 16 points vs, the Patriots was the fewest points that the Cowboys have scored in a game all year thus far. The 49ers allowed 27 points vs. the Cowboys, Detroit allowed 30 points, and the Jets allowed 24 points and they are considered good defenses. And those averages had games where both Miles Austin and Dez Bryant out of the game where they both played on Sunday. So let's not minimize the achievement.

Rob,

Want to get your thoughts on this: couldn't Carter's & Al's familarity with the Dallas O (considering they were division opponents for so many years) played a significant role behind them having a great game and our D restricting them to 16 pts?

It's possible although there is a lot of shake up on the Cowboys' o-line this offseason replacing three starters. So both were probably playing against players they didn't play against last year. So they wouldn't know their tendencies and weaknesses anymore than any other team. In Haynesworth's case, he overpowered players which has all to do with physical ability over gamesmanship.

Also, different coordinator to. I'm sure that the scheme, coupled with the changes in personality made past familiarity much less of a factor then game film from what they are doing this year.

isn't the cherry burst a custom?

I'm partial to black Customs...I own three of them
I'm partial to all Les Paul's though the chambered models don't quite get me all hot and bothered like the full bodies do.

Sunbursts come in all offerings, from custom's through to Studio's and Deluxes.

I have a couple bursts; a 93 classic 60's re-issue and a Bloomfield VOS. Both play like butter. :rocker:

there's a lot oif axe men on this site, Bob...nice to know

I got a '63 black custom with a scratch on the back ...thin frets on the fingerboard peculiar to that year...lightening like fingerboard

I got an '80 that's mint....I just leave it alone for the most part

Got an '88 I use irregularly

these days I mainly play Taylors...I own four of them and I'm getting a Kona wood issue soon...expensive these days

I've plugged in pretty much everything over the years but always seem to come back to the Lesters. Though I play my SG's more as they are much lighter and far easier on the back than my LP's.

Unplugged, my #1 is my Gibson AJ RI and two is a custom Laskin built for me by my buddy Billy.

Would be kewl to have a Pats fan jam 1 day.

Actually, it WAS on topic - - in the video, he was showing his complete ignorance about Haynesworth's performance on Sunday.

Must be a bad picture. It's a cherryburst 60's Tribute LP Studio. It's the latest addition to the guitar family here. Thanks for asking.
