If it were to be feasible and they remained healthy, I can't think of a better long combo of corners for Schiano/Flores to work with.

Especially in the playoffs he became the guy opposing QBs stayed away from. When they did throw his was there wasn't a lot of success to be had.

Going into 2018 the D has some bright spots: Gilmore, McCourty, Hightower, Flowers (among others). And while there are spots that need shoring up, there really! needs to be better playmaking/depth at the LB positions.
Finding a new Branch (who became a well paid speed bump) is high on the list too.

You can have all the great corners of the nfl, but what I learned during super bowl Sunday was you must have a pass rush!!!!!

A pass rush make average corners look great.
