Adam's $54,000 number must mean Julian Edelman and Beau Allen did qualify for the injury protection benefit.
I guess JJones isn't good either since he led the Patriots in tackles. He led the team in tackles because they kept completing passes to the guy he was doing a bad job covering. That’s is bad, not good.
Since when? He has had trouble setting the edge. That Ravens game a couple years ago he was a mess.I don't care if Collins is a locker room guy. He is good against the run. That is what the Pats desperately need right now is a LB who can stop the run.
So Bill is just helping Tom by giving him a pro bowl cornerback for free....why?
Which would have meant last year's OL would have been even worse, and people would be whining as much about it as they're whining about this year's OL and screaming at their TVs and in the GDT, and not cherishing that extra draft pick we'd have for this season. This isn't like the Thuney situation (which really should have been handled differently, as some here said at the time).
I would assume any team would do their due diligence and see what he is seeing as far as a contract before they traded for him.Tough to trade a guy that was already sitting out because he wanted a new contract. Why would a team give up a draft pick if there is a chance the guy continues sitting out. Imagine if GB traded a 3rd for him but said they aren't willing to give him a new deal right now and will wait until after the season to talk. Gilmore would continue to sit out and then the 3rd round pick gets returned to them because i'm sure any team that would trade would make it a conditional pick. Much easier to give a free agent a front loaded contract so they can kick the cap hit down the road and keep a draft pick

Maybe Bill wants credit for building two dynasties, one in New England and one in Tampa Bay.
