Re: My theory
Regular season stats
Gaffney: 36 recepts, 449 yards, 5 TD's
Stallworth: 46 recepts, 697 yards, 3 TD's
Playoffs
Gaffney: 4 recepts, 38 yards, 1 TD
Stallworth: 5 recepts, 79 yards, and 0 TD's
Gaffney's had more success finding the endzone, but he's racked up fewer receptions, and less yards in both the regular season and playoffs. The Giants are also a team that can have more trouble against receivers of Stallworth's ability. So, I'd expect to see Donte getting plenty of playing time on sunday, and I'm almost expecting Brady to take a shot deep in his direction during the early stages of the game.
Stallworth may make some big plays, but I predict he'll play only 18 snaps, so he'll have to make them count. Look for Gaffney to get more snaps than Stallworth. And look for Moss to make not-too-many catches, as the Giants double him up and allow us more open short passes, guaranteeing we'll score less than 45, but guaranteeing we'll score more than 25.
