Would be great if Pats could show some small sliver of interest in improving their roster. I think Fred Johnson would have been a nice pick up. The passive approach to roster building continues.

Yes, you’ve got it. They don’t care a lot improving their roster. Winning isn’t important to them. They would prefer to kick back and rest before the season instead of trading for guys.
Can’t be that they pursued it and decided it wasn’t an improvement to the team. No wsy, it simply has to be they don’t care “a sliver”. Thanks for pointing this out.

Pats have the best roster overall in the division. This is an easy call. Once they solidify the OL, it's over.

Eh, Fred Johnson, who needs him, he’s really old and is missing an arm!
(If you’re really old you know this is hilarious)

Cut Seven times and enjoying an airport beer? Life is good.

In a way it's quite the accomplishment that 7 teams have taken a shot at you. I mean in sucks, but in all the time he played game.

It sounds really sad, and is... but remember he makes 50K for each game he actually is rostered. Even if you only managed to be roster in 20 games in your career on and off.... that is still 10 or so years well spent. Particularly if you find other jobs to do during down time.

I always wanted to know more about the lives of these journey edge NFL players. I bet it is rather fascinating but stressful to them Not knowing if they will get paid for any actual games dressed, or just make PS money or not be on the PS at all. A very minor swing or injury in front of them can be the difference between just working normal jobs and a few 100K.

I wish DTR was actually good. The idea of DTR is great.
I was pro drafting him just based on his athletic profile. Too bad he hasn’t worked out. ****, I would still take a flier on him like as a QB3.

People lauding the Eagles for “making moves” but I think what’s lost is the fact that they’re literally at the very end of the waiver wire order, they can’t claim a player unless every single other team DOESN’T claim them, and at that point they may as well not claim them either so they can just sign them to a new deal instead, as they’d become a free agent if no team claims them. The only way they’re able to actually get these guys is by trading to secure them.

Elway wore #7 because all he ever took were seven step drops.

As expected and reported by Rockey a few days ago

Yeah there's no way it would've been a good idea to trade for him and pay him 3 years $96M. This would be a bad look and piss off Diggs.

Yep not surprising. Most of these guys cost way too much anyways that makes it not worth it.
That’s the market. You want a good WR, u gotta pay

There's no way that's real money. He's only making 15.5 the first year, I'm guessing it's more like 2/55 with an out after the 2nd year. And that's not bad. And I don't give a rat's ass if it pisses off Diggs, he's better than Diggs.
