The doink snap off the Miami holders's face mask evens out Ghost's miss.

The "awful TD the defense gave up just before halftime" happened becasue of TERRIBLE clock management by Brady and the O (passing and stopping the clock on incompletes) just before halftime to give them that chance. The Pats were up 10-0 and looked like they were carefree about giving Tannehill another chance before the break. - - stooopid.

The Hoomanawanui one handed circus TD catch was just as lucky and unexpected a play as one can see.

Please - - the Pats did not lose that game because of any bad luck. They played stupid that day and it cost them a plane ride to Denver this weekend.

I never said "luck." That TD they gave up and missed FG were piss poor execution, had nothing to do with luck.

As far as giving Tannehill a chance, the only play you can take issue with is the 2nd and 8 incomplete to Edelman before the TD. Sure it would have been nice to run 40 seconds off but Miami still had a time out which they didnt even use on their scoring drive and probably would have used there, so it becomes a wash.

So we can't play a close game? What if the jets had that same penalty called on the pats last drive and the patriots score a touchdown for the win? Did the jets miss their chance then?

Close game or blowout is not controlled by the pats. But eliminating basic mistakes is controlled by them. Missed FGs, crucial drops dont help the case to blame it all on the refs. FWIW, the refs couldve called PI on hooman on the MIA last drive too. But ultimately the pats shot themselves on the foot there as they did in carolina with fumbles and poor RZ execution.

Forget the refs and blown calls. When SD went into Denver and won, home field throughout was ours. IF we handled our business. And we didn't. That loss in Miami is why this game in in Denver. End of story. But like an earlier poster said, championship teams win on the road.

I have probably despised the Denver Broncos longer than any non-Jets NFL team. It'll make it all the sweeter to go in to their stupid stadium with their stupid fans and their stupid QB and end their stupid season.

The Miami game was a month ago. I couldn't care less about that game. Today is what matters. Go Pats!
