• Chung is 5th in the league in tackles with 22.

• Rookie Hernandez is 18th in the league in reception yardage ... 146 yards.

• Welker is 9th in the league in scoring with 18 points.

• Brandon Tate is 1st in the league in return yardage with ... 307 yards.

I'm still celebrating the fact that Moss planted a Pats flag on Revis Island and claimed it for the team. I heard next time he's building a vacation home there.

Jermaine Cunningham played in his first NFL game.....

McCourty looks like the real deal, as does Hernandez.....

I like the look of this young defense. Gonna get better and better..

- Welker took a nasty shot or two and is still with us

- Chung continues to do well

- McCourty is doing pretty well

I'm a broken record, but it's going to be a slow start with a strong finish this year.

The rookies learned a lesson, that's a positive thing and I'm glad they got smacked with it early in the season rather than later. They'll play up, it's a marathon not a sprint and as good as they are they've got a few things to learn about playing a team who's in a do-or-die situation, this was a good experience for them.
