Friday Injury Report

Hee-hee. Playoffs. Hobbs plays, Harrison plays, Kaszur plays, Neal plays...
I would not be surprised if Hobbs gets a break from returns.

Hobbs and Rodney have talked to the media this week haven't they? Don't the injured guys usually avoid the media like the plague?

Please, someone reassure me here.

Correct! Relax. Not to worry. Like Reiss, I have no doubt whatsoever that both these guys are playing.

Now this is a real NE Patriots injury report! It's about time. BB has on his game face!

You need to recognize that the injury report rules have changed.
You do not list them in a category (questionable, probable, doubtful).
You only report their participation in practice.
Some players did not practice today so they are listed.
Today was a light, walkthrough, so missing it wouldn't be a big deal.
Every player in the NFL in January has an injury of some sort.
With Hobbs for example, it is common that any DB receive treatment on his legs. Probably just about every player spends time in the training room at this point in the season, so the guys who are not at practice go on the injury report, and whatever they were being treated for is listed.
This is nothing.

That's true during the week, but IIRC this day-before report is still in the same old categories.

I dont think so. And the categories Reiss listed are still based on participation in practice.

They don't use probable/questionable during the week anymore. Just the did not/limited/full participation in practice. The last injury report they do game status, which is the probable/questionable designation.

My worry is that Hobbs has been hurting for days and BB is admitting it now that it's too late for Jac to prepare any differently, just in time to be OK in the league's eyes when Hobbs doesn't play.

Hopefully this is not the case, of course.
