I refuse to use the ignore function*, but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the technical wizardry you go thru to make this best message board on the planet when a small minority have a little problem. THANKS.

If you're ignoring them, they can still see your posts and respond.

As I mentioned, it works the same as in real life. If you're ignoring someone speaking to you, they can see you, but you're choosing not to acknowledge/listen/hear them. So just like in a real situation, if you're ignoring someone and speaking to someone else, they would obviously still hear your conversation, even if you ignored them.

The only way that changes would be if you block that person. Then your posts aren't visible to them. And as a side note, if a person has you blocked, not only can you not see their posts, but they also can't see yours.

If you're blocked, then no, their posts are not visible to you. Your posts are also not visible to them. However, their threads are visible on the main screen, but their posts within the thread are not.

But that's the only scenario where someone's posts would not be visible to you. You would have to be blocked, and I have no control over that. That's 100% controlled by the individual user.

I may have shamelessly appropriated 'Cult of Vericality' but honestly don't remember. Happy to have a part in popularizing it either way cause now I hear Living Color's tune in my head whenever a cult member posts instead of just 'Ugh another one of those posts'
