Flores fired

Ross just fired the guy who beat the GOAT coach in his own division twice this season.

What a f'in idiot.
Is J.Lo still part owner of the team? They’ll need her to hang that naked ass of her’s out the window of her luxury box in order to get fans in the stands next season.

Thank God for that.

But no chance of a re-hire unfortunately. He'll have a few HC job offers, no question.

I doubt Texans were planning to fire Culley after 1 year, but now that Flores is available, I could see Caserio doing a quick strike to get him.
That would solve 2 problems, and likely keep Watson as QB - who was vocal in wanting to play for Flores in MIA. (presuming Watson's legal stuff gets solved??) I'd love Flores to come back as DC, but there's no way he won't get a job with all the HC openings.

If I’m the Jaguars, I’m firing Baalke immediately, asking John Dorsey what he would like to take the reigns, and hiring Flores. They have the QB and they have a few pieces on defense, but Baalke is the stench that will keep quality coaches away.

Why not apply yourself to be GM? We've got tons of evidence here that you are an excellent evaluator and have a decisive mind. They don't have to pay moving costs.

On the other hand, there's always going to be the problem of the women in the organization getting pregnant, just from proximity, so maybe not such a good idea.

For the legacy watchers, Curran being chief amongst them...

Flores is far and away the best of the Belichick tree. (i get that it’s damning with faint praise, the only other guy who could be considered is BOB if you exclude his GM’ing skills). But he’s shown legit ability. Get him on a team with a QB, and they’re competing for a title very soon.

I’m all set. I like making my own hours and having a nice work/life balance. There’s good money in being a GM or HC in the NFL… if you like working 14-16 hour days.

Based on all the stuff I’ve read and heard on, Flores is realistic and knows how much Tua sucks. Tua limits everything they try to do on offense and is basically a gimmick QB at best. The team/ownership all think Tua is some great QB being held back….of course they know acknowledging their mistake will be costly. So there has been a huge divide of Tua/Grier/Ross versus the coaches. Dolphins fans are delusional. It will be great to watch them crash and burn next year with Tua Fish.

Ross is huge benefactor of Michigan, it's his alma mater, so the Harbaugh to Miami thing may have some tread imo.

.........Or maybe the Dolphins just suck.
Maybe they think they are getting the other Harbaugh?

They fire the coach instead of the GM

GMs seem to have the safest job security right now. Look at Baalke and Pace they will stay on and get to hire another coach that will ultimately fail because part of the problem starts from the GM.

Also FYI, I have from a source I emphatically trust that this isn’t out of nowhere. Ross was telling business associates last week he had this planned. This wasn’t some last minute decision

Will not be unemployed long. Won 7 of last 8. Unreal!
