Flores a coach again.

THEY
HAVE
NO
QB

And didn’t deserve to be a playoff team last year. Flores is a very good coach but they aren’t dangerous.
You're right, they don't now and I'm hoping it stays that way. However, if they make a move and manage to land one, they always seem to find a way to be in the mix and end up being an issue.

I think these are the reasons.

.Flores believes Bill influenced him losing the Giants job right or wrong.
. Suing the NFL for not following the Rooney rule, what better organization to join.
. You are on a predominantly black staff with also supports your race discrimination claim against other teams.
. Flores and Tomlin are both old school hard nose coaches.
. Flores loves football loves coaching and the Steelers are a historic franchise who win.
. Staying in the NFL is the best path to becoming a head coach again which is Brian’s goal.

Great move for him, great move for Pitt.
I will always respect Flores.
Malcom Go!

Agree
I thought he was done but that makes a lot of sense.

Good for Flores... i hope he's stays there for another 5 years or so... round out his education as a coach... then we can bring him back here when BB finally does decide to retire...

Not a good look from Little Billy when he welcomes back ass-hole losers like Phatt Matt & the league's Worst WRs Coach of 2019 but alienates Brian Flores... Hope Jonathan's taking notes...
Sorry Captain, but I don’t understand this. None of us have any idea of what their relationship/interest with one another is. I don’t see how it would impact the look of Bill at all. Bill hired the man and gave him his shot. If anything, I think it makes the rest of the league that had open coaching positions and passed on him this year look bad. All I took from what we know is what Flores shared. They clearly were still on speaking terms before the text mishap, and have respect for one another. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that neither one of them had interest working with one another again, would’ve loved him back though. Give the league another reason to hate them.

Ballsy move by the Steelers. Wonder if Flores will be adapting to their D, bringing his, or a combination of both? Will be interesting.

Why would Bill want to hire Flores? He’s got the perfect setup already where he gets all the credit when the defense plays well and his son gets all the blame when it doesn’t.

The Steelers got a good talent. Quite frankly Flores is better at his job than their current DC and I expect Tomlin will demand that Austin listen to Flores and let him collaborate.

I actually expect the Steelers to be attempting to bring in Jimmy Garoppolo. They have a decent OL, and Jimmy G plays into the strengths of the talent they have. They have experience keeping their QB upright and Garoppolo, while fragile. represents a significant immediate upgrade over what Roethlisberger was last year and may be enough to keep them playoff relevant. All they have to do is get him to stay in the freaking pocket and they might manage to unlock his potential. Course I've been saying that for years and coaches still haven't managed to actually keep Garoppolo in the pocket so who knows, but that's always been the key to Jimmy G being the real Jimmy G.

I never thought he would return due to the text blunder, but most importantly, Bill is not going to demote his son. In fact, he’s setting him up to take over for Bill or somewhere else. If that dweeb from SF can get a HC job, Steve can get one. The NFL HC hiring process has become an abomination.

He will have no say in that... He's not the DC... Teryl Austin is... Flores is a defensive assistant/linebackers coach

Another possible spot for Wynn.
We should be able to get at least a third for him somewhere.
lol, he'd be the highest paid player on the bengals by 13,000

not really likely, though... the owner there is a real cheapo...

My guess he was fed up with Bill after the text mishap.
My guess is Bill was fed up that Flo dragged Bill into something that had nothing to do with BB.
Communications between teams is common practice
Bill hired Flo as defensive coordinator so being black did not matter
When you hang someone out that did not do you any harm then you cannot be trusted
Phins, Denver and Cleveland is a different story

As I understand it Bill was texting the wrong Brian.

Agree, Bill effed up, and since it became part of the story, it's not like it's as easy to turn the page now. It's not a "just let it go" flub once it comes to represent all that's wrong with the hiring process. Now Pittsburgh has Flo in the fold and well, we've got that mullet kid, that's something right?
