first time game go'er from canada

Hello all, myself and some other guys in their mid 20's are making the trip to the thursday night game against the jets and im just looking for some helpful tips. Basically we want to tailgate, however im sure none of us will be able to drive following the game and were staying in boston for the weekend to take in a couple sox games. Clearly we arent too interested in forking out crazy amounts for a nearby hotel so i was curious about transit into boston? perhaps getting a hotel in boston and taking the train to and from the game? not sure if thats a good idea, and why im looking for some tips! thanks a lot, super bowl or bust
