Your first statement seems the opposite of your last statement.

I prefer "A chain is only as strong as its weakest link."

"Strengthen your strengths" seems ******ed to me, if it comes at the expense of not strengthening your weaknesses. In the NFL, coaches like Belichick will find your weakness, exploit your weakness, and defeat you because of your weakness.

Pettigrew would only strengthen a (relative) strength, and is therefore a horrible choice.
