Docked 3 OTAs next year for violating no-contact rules this year.

NFL docks Falcons three days of OTAs for violating no-contact rules

Note the Patriots were penalized so harshly for Deflategate due to being a multiple rule offender. Falcons were stripped a 5th round pick in 2015 for pumping in crowd noise, but are given a slap on the wrist for their 2nd offense in the last 24 months.

And aqib talib can walk into a bar with a loaded gun, get drunk and shoot himself and get no suspension.

To be fair, the league DID say they'd wait until the Dallas PD was done with it's investigation. Not sure if they are filing charges against Talib, but let's see what happens going forward.

Are we even remotely surprised?

This is madness...on many levels.

I get that the rule is non-contact meaning no pads or physical contact but to not practice in pads and at least allow some light body work (not going all out like in TC) where there is zero chance for head trauma is not an unreasonable modification to the rule.

Once again, Goody using a brick to kill an ant.

they aren't filing any charges:

Dallas police rule Broncos' Aqib Talib shot himself in June shooting, per report

The Dallas police department’s four-month investigation into the June 5 shooting of Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib is complete and it has determined that Talib shot himself, according to a WFAA television report that cited sources. The report also stated that no charges would be filed against Talib.
