Matt Ryan: 5 pass attempts into the end zone from 10 and 5 yards; not one pass was catchable. Not the time to pay it safe.

There is no way this guy was ever elite.

That’s one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. He made an off target throw to a guy who was 1 on 1. His guy happens to be a freak

Sark is also a terrible OC. This offense is vanilla

Matt Ryan chokes again

What an awful play-call. A back shoulder fade to the short side of the field? The coaching staff at ATL is beyond incompetent.

Either throw that fade to Julio towards the wide side of the field, or work the middle. PHL was doubling everything to the back of the endzone, a trailing 'in' route behind those back of the endzone routes would resulted in an easy score.

It’s common knowledge fades are low percentage plays. Why teams still use them so much is baffling.

Is Riley McCarron going to have more catches this week than Calvin Ridley?

Not on ryan
Some of it is. If he wants to be in “that” stratosphere the offensive game plan, esp in that situation at the end, is at least partly his responsibility. If he just wants to be a guy who had a couple good years he can blame the coach. Dudes a 10 year vet, not some bum off the street begging for work.

19/34 117 yds and a pick for a 50.7 QB rating and he gets interviewed for the idiotic “philly special.”

Again, way to go defense, this moron shredded you.

What? Why would you place that ball high and away when Julio had inside leverage. That ball needed to be low where Julio had a chance to catch it in bounds.

Because Julio is tall and has incredible jumping ability: the throw was probably predetermined. Reguardless of how the ball is thrown. That’s a low percentage play. The stats prove that

Belichick's defense.

Philly got what they wanted until Wentz comes back. They’ll start the season 3-1 at worst.

if atlanta kicks a field goal from the 1 yard line instead of going for it and if bryant makes that XP, Atlanta would have won it at the end with a FG.

Exactly it’s low percentage. Throwing it the way he did makes it even lower. He made the defenders job much easier.

They call that, but not gronkowski vs Carolina

To nitpick, they did throw a flag for PI on that play. Then the officials discussed it and decided to wave off the penalty, which was probably worse than not throwing a flag in the first place.

Five shots at the end zone. Not one ball placed in a spot where a receiver could catch it in bounds. Were those all predetermined and not on Ryan? He sure looked like a guy who was scared to make a mistake.

That’s the OC putting the QB and receiver in position to fail. If that’s you’re play when the game comes down to one play, that’s a serious lack of creativity

He was pressured on nearly every play at the end. The guy has 35 game winning drives. Something to be said for that. Their entire offense is vanilla and it shows since Shanahan left.
