NFL Picks and Predictions for Week 4 - National Football League - ESPN
everyone except two pick ATL

Tedy Bruschi's Breakdown -- Falcons dangerous, yet vulnerable - ESPN Boston
Tedy picks the pats, Reiss Atlanta

NFL Week 4 picks: San Francisco 49ers-St. Louis Rams, more - NFL - Don Banks - SI.com

Banks picks ATL
New England Patriots (3-0) at Atlanta Falcons (1-2)
The Patriots' luck was bound to end. New England drew rookie quarterback EJ Manuel in Week 1, rookie quarterback Geno Smith in Week 2 and a soon-to-demoted Josh Freeman in Week 3. I'm fairly confident that Atlanta's Matt Ryan won't play like a rookie on Sunday night in the Georgia Dome, and he won't lose his starting gig any time soon. The Falcons are better than they've played so far, and New England isn't going to be making a deep run at the '72 Dolphins this season.

Nice. I like it when we're underdogs.

I've always been a big fan of Ditka

This is really dumb and means absolutely nothing

I've always been a big fan of Ditka

I'm not a fan, nor dislike Ditka. I don't think he particularly likes picking the Pats, but I notice he usually picks the team with the best chance to win...

Interesting how the 2 who pick NE to win have either the highest pick record, or are tied for 2nd. It's almost like they judge the team rather than something else....

Yeah I also noticed the record of Ditka and Jaws.

I think I am a fan of Ditka because of the way he handled the media and just how raw he was. I didn't grow up in the 80s and only have watched videos so my view could be completely skewed. Just like how I love how Belichick handles the media and shuts them down Ditka did the same thing but in a complete polar opposite way.

Not only that I got to meet Ditka in Florida when I worked and went to school there for 2 years. Was working for a cigar shop in Orlando and we had to go to a convention. I was outside just finishing up on the phone with my boss when Ditka pulled up to go inside to promote his cigars. He stopped and talked to me for a while and he was a really, really nice genuine guy from what I could tell. Mid way during the conversation his handlers kind of tried to pull him from our conversation into the convention and he kind of did the whole Ditka intimidation thing like "Hey I'm talking here." It was really cool and he was a super nice guy.

Sorry for going way off topic here and into story telling mode. Hope we beat Atlanta!

I'll be honest: in the order of results I want to see this weekend:

(1) No major injuries that will derail the season.
(2) TFB's TD streak to continue.
(3) A win.

Almost exactly the way I like it. I wish it were unanimous for Atlanta.

Am I reading this right...?

You'd rather Brady's TD streak than 4-0?

I can see why everyone is picking ATL. Pat caught them at a tough time...and ATL can't....CANT crop to 1-3 and have the saints move to 4-0 on monday night..they would be screwed..ATL needs this game bad

1) Looks like an over-time game to me.

2) Mike Ditka almost always picks the Pats. In BB he clearly trusts.

I think these picks are based more on the Pats pass defense in recent seasons, as well as Atlanta's pass offense in recent seasons.

This year things have looked much better with our secondary, and the so called experts should sleep on us at their own risk.

underdogs at last!!!!! Yeeeeee-ah!!!

I do. Brady's TD streak is a lot more important in the grand scheme of things than if the Patriots end the season 12-4 or 11-5. Who will remember 10 years from now what the Patriots season record in 2013 was? Who will remember 10 years from now that Tom Brady has the record for the most consecutive games with a touchdown?

:ugh:So if the Pats go 9-7, and miss the playoffs or go 10-6, miss a bye and lose in the first round, among a myriad of possibilities as to how important EVERY win is in the NFL you would rather see a record continue that doesn't mean ***** to anyone who really follows football.....I just had to clarify that before I put on my 'ignore' list so I don't waste any more time of my life reading your posts.

I could give a rat's ***** about anymore records. Brady has achieved enough in his career, so if he retired tomorrow he is one of, and arguably the best ever. I prefer Superbowls or even legitimate runs at Superbowls over anymore personal achievements.

I think its going to be close, and picking a winner to me would be a toss of a hat..

but I definitely see areas that the pats can exploit versus the falcons..look how easily tanihill moved against them for the winning score last week and throughout the game...brady is lightyears ahead of him...give the rooks another week of practice/game experience and the possible return of Gronk

Was looking at NFL .com's various pick 'ems, heavily Atlanta
Experts - NFL Weekly Pick'Em - NFL.com

Of the people that picked so far Heath Evans, Melissa Stark, Nicole Zaloumis(formerly of CSNNE), and Brian Baldinger are the only notables that picked the Pats. 2 other people picked the Pats.

Everyone else that does picks all went Falcons or hasn't picked yet.

Also as of right now the fans consensus pick is the Pats

NFL Picks - Straight Up - Week 4 - CBSSports.com

Prisco picks the Falcons and La Confora picks the Pats. There are 6 other guys that pick games and only 2 of them have the Pats.

CBSSports Prediction Machine picked the Pats.

Why are people acting as if being the underdog is somehow better than being the favourite?

:bricks::bricks::bricks::bricks:

Can you name the last 5 people to hold the record for the consecutive touchdowns in a game without googling it ?
