I see this as a close game where ATL is the more desperate team and being @home is going to help them pull out a close one . I hope Iam wrong but I think this is the week our secondary gets a bit tested . Brady usually doesnt have bad SNF games but our record in these SNF cris collinsworth games recently hasnt been good

I do. Brady's TD streak is a lot more important in the grand scheme of things than if the Patriots end the season 12-4 or 11-5. Who will remember 10 years from now what the Patriots season record in 2013 was? Who will remember 10 years from now that Tom Brady has the record for the most consecutive games with a touchdown?

The only thing I remember from 2007 is that we lost the last game. I don't remember any of the records set by that team. This is the Patriots, nobody cares about individual records and who gets them, we care about winning.

The falcons have no running game, and with white hurt and Gonzalez showing his age, they have one legitimate receiving threat....and Julio will be shadowed all over the field by Talib just like Jackson was last game...

And their D is OK...they won't get a whole lot of points, and we will improve on offense from last week

This will be a pats wins

:bricks::bricks::bricks::bricks:

Can you name the last 5 people to hold the record for the consecutive touchdowns in a game without googling it ?

I can't name the last five, but I can name the last two:

1. Drew Brees
2. Johnny Unitas

And that takes you back to 1960.

And with the current passing league , no one will remember this record history in next 10/20 yrs. This will broken again and again and will render it trivial now. Nothing more important than a win. I will take brady throwing 3 INTs and pats winning over brady keeping his streak alive.

Sounds like some bulletin board material, who will be the next Rodney Harrison to play the "disrespect" card???

Look for Dungy to predict an Atlanta win, and Rodney, whose offseason home is in the ATL I believe, to predict a W and a big night for TB12 on the big stage of SNF, the Pats first national audience since the embarrassing performance against Baltimore in the AFCC.

5 of the ESPN "experts" also picked the Rams last night :rocker:

^^ good one.

With NE averaging 2 TDs less per game than last season...and Manning on pace for 64 TDs, I think it is swell that TB has a record on the line that will get him some attention during his twilight years. . Usually, the 25th highest rated QB in the NFL gets very little positive attention.

doom and gloomers unite

I'll be honest: in the order of results I want to see this weekend:

(1) No major injuries that will derail the season.
(2) TFB's TD streak to continue.
(3) A win.
I find that disheartening.

Your pink hat is on too tight.

It's pretty easy to understand why a lot of the "experts" are picking the Falcons. They're at home, they pose the biggest challenge the Pats have faced thus far, the Pats haven't exactly looked like world beaters in two out of their three games, the defense hasn't faced an offense like the Falcons' yet, and the Falcons are coming off a tough road loss which leaves them looking at the prospect of going 1-3 to start the season. Add to that the uncertainty around Gronk's status as well as Amendola, and you have a lot of people picking the Falcons.

(1) No major injuries that will derail the season.
(2) TFB's TD streak to continue.
(3) A win.

I would put it like this...

1. A win.
2. No major injuries that will derail the season.
3. TFB's TD streak to continue.

I suspect that Brady would probably agree with me on that front...

Was looking at NFL .com's various pick 'ems, heavily Atlanta
Experts - NFL Weekly Pick'Em - NFL.com

Of the people that picked so far Heath Evans, Melissa Stark, Nicole Zaloumis(formerly of CSNNE), and Brian Baldinger are the only notables that picked the Pats. 2 other people picked the Pats.

Everyone else that does picks all went Falcons or hasn't picked yet.

Also as of right now the fans consensus pick is the Pats

NFL Picks - Straight Up - Week 4 - CBSSports.com

Prisco picks the Falcons and La Confora picks the Pats. There are 6 other guys that pick games and only 2 of them have the Pats.

CBSSports Prediction Machine picked the Pats.

As a side note, I would kill to ride her like Seabuscuit.....

I could give a rat's ***** about anymore records. Brady has achieved enough in his career, so if he retired tomorrow he is one of, and arguably the best ever. I prefer Superbowls or even legitimate runs at Superbowls over anymore personal achievements.

Based on your post, I am not sure what you think, could you please be a little more assertive next time?

Oops. I'm sorry for causing your panties to get all bunched up and disrupting your sensitive side while reading posts on an NFL messageboard.
