On the latter front, the news is good from the team’s initial practice in preparing for the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round matchup, as Tom Brady (ankle), Julian Edelman (foot), Danny Amendola (knee) and Sebastian Vollmer (ankle) were all present and participating at practice on Monday. In fact, every member of the Patriots offense participated in the session.

On the other side of the ball, everybody but Nate Ebner participated. That means Chandler Jones (abdomen) and Dont’a Hightower (knee) were good to go after both missed the Patriots’ Week 17 loss in Miami.

Brady suffered an ankle injury in that game, though he didn’t appear limited in Monday’s session

Do you think ebner will get resigned?

Great to see. Hope Ebner heals quickly as well.

Flying somewhat under the radar in comparison to some of the other injuries, I'm hoping that Amendola is shaking that nagging knee injury.

I definitely do.

I think there is a category of certain player who, while unspectacular, earns Belichick's respect. Often times, we see this player on the special teams units. I think that Belichick appreciates Ebner's toughness, versatility, work ethic, and fact that he earned his way on the team by overcoming obstacles like his father's murder, not seeing much playing time at Ohio State, etc.

Just my opinion, but no one saw more ST reps before getting injured last year (Wilson took over his role), as well as this season too. He's cheap, he's effective, he does his job well, and he's hard to dislike or have problems with.

Agreed, I think they will end up resigning one of Wilson or ebner and it's looking like it will be ebner. Wilson does however seem to play over ebner on defense but at least he is ahead of Matt Slater and edelman on the safety depth chart

I suppose they could retain both, in theory, should Belichick feel that Wilson is worthy of keeping as a ST player and has progressed in some fashion, defensively.

If it's really between Ebner and Wilson, I think it's already a done deal. Just my opinion.

It wouldn't seem to help Wilson that he has been inactive in so many games. I expect they would both be able to be resigned for inexpensive deals but if they were that cheap they would likely have signed extensions

This is the healthiest the team has been since the first few weeks of the season. They're ready to rock and roll!

Well, we can't run that awesome onside trick kick without Ebner (you know, the one where you basically use the best kicker in the NFL as a decoy ?) I thought the whole purpose of that was make the opposition waste as much time as the patriots did to prepare for it.

Well, that'll eliminate the pooch kick or whatever the hell he was doing the Philly game.

Hopefully the Pats won't be in a situation where they need the fake onside kick.

Like being up a score on the second possession.

They were up 14-0 when they tried the pooch kick.
