and its always conveniently released when the Patriots are in a playoff run or about to play in the Super Bowl

They probably plan on hammering this story the entire off-season to keep their ratings up during the dreaded NFL Blackout period... Deflategate had the NFL, ESPN and everyone else in the news cycle 24/7.. from the build up to the Superbowl, through the entire off-season, training camp and into the regular season

I feel like I live in a fantasy world sometimes.. these pieces are just so obvious, TMZ level ******** and they just recycle the same methods/tactics every single time... like the walking dead plotline...

People saying "should be a fascinating article" lolol.. are you ****ing serious? Anyone who thinks that will be or is a fascinating article must be one of the dumbest carbon lifeforms on planet earth

When I first read the tweet, I thought it was supposed to be sarcastic, sort of like theonion.com.. then I quickly realized that he was 100% serious and all the media slugs are peeing their panties over the thought of being able to open that hole in their face and make noises about the Patriots to get attention/ratings.. as if the media slugs worthless existence has any meaning or value whatsoever... Hint: They dont.

Its just getting so old.. its so crazy that this is the norm now, and its because the drooling masses eat it up by the gallon.. which makes it that much more frustrating that these CLOWNS are actually getting people's attention and making lots of money doing it.

Total twilight zone level stuff at play here.. dont worry ESPN, Brady's fame and publicity will keep your **** hole company afloat for 1 more off-season
Couldn't agree more. What passes for journalism today wouldn't pass in a high school paper, and is more like gossip from a high school lunch table. I am constantly amazed by articles that are chock full of pure conjecture, with very little to back it up.

Let me put it a different way, based on the past 5 games which player seems to have more upside over the next 10 years?

Based on the past 17 years, which player seems to have more upside over the remainder of his current or next contract, say, 3-4 years? That is way more relevant. It's silly to put a 10 year window in a sport where the average career is like 3 years. Was JG's 5 games better than a 5-game stretch of Robert Griffin's first year, or of Colin Kaepernick's best year at about the same age? Was there a 10 year plan for those guys?

In the next three seasons, the GOAT gives the team a coin-flip shot at a title, at worst, and the other is almost a complete unknown. Maybe he's RGIII all over again, but maybe he is Drew Brees. Impossible to know.

Are you kidding me? My hit piece on how much ESPN .

But for real, as has been discussed ad nauseam, I can guarantee there have been many disagreements between three perfectionists like BB, Brady and Kraft. Is this one a little more serious? Sure. But BB and Brady care about one thing...winning. And I can't see something like this getting in the way of winning another Super Bowl. If the hit piece is that Brady banged BB's girlfriend? Okay that might change things...

Who would you rather QB in the playoffs for the next 2 years? This is where the story loses me, because in reality Kraft should be more interested in the long term and BB would be looking to win now.

Well obviously if Brady and Jimmy G were FAs and you were looking to sign one of them to a 5+ year contract, you'd go with Jimmy. But given that isn't anywhere close to the situation, the decision was a lot harder.

According to Belichick in an interview on Dale and Holley earlier this year, you can’t plan more than two years ahead in thevNFL, it’s simply too unpredictable. That may well explain why he scoffed at Lynch when he asked about Brady, something those claiming Kraft ordered Belichick to trade Garrapolo have never been able to do.

I agree. Garrapolo could turn out to be a Brees or Romo, or he could turn out to be RGIII or Kaepernick. Or he could simply be injury prone and a bust because of it.!None of this known at this point. What is absolutely known is that no player in football gives a team a better chance to win a Super Bowl than Brady, and that’s something the oddsmakers in Vegas demonstrate every season, including this season, and right now.

Well some idiots on this board think he has regressed over the last 5 games.

Are you kidding me ? What good hit ? The entire shoulder injury was JGs fault. He held the ball for far too long and then had no clue how to fall properly. He put himself into the position to be injured and it happened. There is nothing unfortunate about it.

It is not fortune or coincidence that Brady has barely missed a single game in his career for injury reasons except for when his ACL was taken out. Because he actually spends time on things like learning to fall in a way that protects himself from serious injury or going to ground if it is not absolutely do-or-die time.

Does this mean he will never get injured ? No, of course not but if you dont want to get wet from rain you better leave with an umbrella. If you get caught in the rain without, then it is not unfortunate but on you for not being prepared.

Imagine that, a young QB made a mistake and it cost him, it's obviously impossible for him to learn from that and be productive for the next 12-15yrs.

"according to interviews with more than a dozen New England staffers, executives, players and league sources with knowledge of the team's inner-workings."

They're such blabbermouths. Anybody believe the Pats operation is suddenly leaking like a sieve?

agreed.....but as he keeps winning more games, the uncertainty starts to fade...hes 7-0

another absolutely known thing is that father time will catch up to TB12 in the upcoming years.....its just a matter of which year.......the particular year thing is the unknown
