Eric Alexander at OLB?

Personally, I have no problem at all with Banta-Cain and Woods splitting reps opposite Thomas, but there is definitely the need for a #4 in case of injury...

If Tubby Banta-Cain't & Pierre "I let someone weighing 50 lbs less take a fumble from me in the Super Bowl" Woods are splitting starting reps opposite 30-year-old AT, then the Pats have a problem - a big one.

This position group is in immediate need of a major influx of talent, preferably of the youthful type. And more preferably of the type that is drafted here, developed here, and is productive here.

Really, some of you guys worry way too much. There wasn't this much crying when Seymour was on PUP, and yet, he's more valuable to the D than one pass rushing OLB. We still have AD, Woods, Banta Cain, plus we can always go 4-3 to generate more pass rush. Don't forget at the end of last season, with a depleted corps, Merriweather became an effective blitzing safety. We've upgraded or defensive backfield.

Chill. At least until the first pre-season game.
