Then after one year, just one ~ measley~ year they look like they found another QB for the next 20 years.
And all those memories of beatdowns come flooding back.
I feel for that guy, I really do.

As a pats fan I used to hate the Jets, especially in those Rex Ryan years. But its gotten so bad over there, now I just feel sorry for them.

I don't think other fan bases ever stopped hating the Patriots. 20 years of suffering does not go away quickly. At 2-4 the hatred was focused on celebrating the death of the Patriots dynasty and reveling in the fact that the new QB had a pea shooter arm, BB had lost it and nepotism was going to keep the team down for many years. No one is laughing anymore. Much better to be hated than pitied.

I saw that comment. I was genuinely serious wanting to know what they thought.

It's interesting how some fans think a Patriots fan is extremely self-aware and need validation the team is good.

In all honesty we do get very defensive when the discussion of cheating accusations come up at least I used to but not anymore.

tjat was a GREAT read/ The guy who wrote this has real talent. Sometimes you get hater comments but THIS guy made you FEEL the hate. It was visceral.....AND very funny. and pdd;u complementary.

I live in Buffalo. Several weeks ago after the Bills crushed KC, the Bills radio guys and many of their fans were convinced that it was between them and the Browns for the AFC. So they went down the line and predicted what Cleveland's record would be game by game. They came to the conclusion that the Browns had an incredibly tough schedule, every single week a good competitor. They had only 2 easy sure-fire win games left out of 12, the Lions and Patriots.

Now every week since then you hear the doubt creep into their voices. Initially it was just the Patriots playing the Cowboys really hard, but then the win over the Chargers had them grudgingly admit that perhaps the Patriots weren't bottom of the barrel. Week after week you can hear their snickers turn slowly into a kind of disgust, but they are much further along than that now, they are actually in a semi-state of panic.

Their worst fear before the Jags-Bills game was that they were going to play the Bucs in the SB and possibly lose to Brady.

Now their worst fear? It's coming.
