Seems foolish to sign Brady to an extension and not strike while the iron is hot with Garoppolo. Especially when you consider just how ****ty this quarterback class is.

Perhaps it's my paranoid fatalism talking, but trading a potentially viable starting QB with a 40 year old starter is just begging for the starter to get hurt and be neutralized.

I don't disagree with you, but financially-speaking, it would be difficult to retain both, and they sure as hell aren't getting rid of Tom Terrific.
