Only way the narrative would have changed is if Kraft could establish fraudulent conduct by the NFL in court.

OK, now let’s have a similar article about how asinine the penalty was for having a camera in the wrong place on the sideline in “spygate...”

For some, nothing can change the narrative. History makes that very clear.

"Did the NFL learn anything from it?" Weasely question wording from sports so-called jounalism. Why single out the NFL as if sportswriters themselves are pristinely independent of the whole fiasco?

Oh, and by the way, did anything ever happen to the NFL employee who stole the kicking balls in the Pats/Ravens game and replaced them with new uninflated balls? It was that event that got Harbaugh wound up about under-inflated balls. The whole mess had its genesis in the behavior of a crooked NFL employee.

ESPN claiming today that deflategate was not a big deal is the equivalent of the catholic church absolving Galleleo.

I'm curious to see if Goodell gets booed during the trophy presentation this year despite no Pats fans in attendance. Has he sunk to Bettman-like levels of disapproval league-wide? Or maybe the last 3 Super Bowls instilled the idea that it's just fun to boo the guy.

    Regards,
    Chris

Well, yeah, you know, those Japanese internment camps may not have been such a good idea after all...and you get the sort of feeling that there's a chance that all those multigenerational, assimilated, English speaking, innocent, law abiding, loyal American families just maybe possibly might not have been foreign spies...it's not a "good look" for the U.S.

They can say whatever they want they still conspired with the NFL to drive a narrative and will never be forgiven by our fanbase. Not that they care.

When you find yourself getting upset over it, just watch this:

Don’t forget the deflation wasn't natural. Proven by the very same organization that proved second hand smoke and asbestos doesn’t cause cancer.

EDIT: Yeah - was should have been waasn't

Deflategate would have been easily proven if they had simply took the suspected footballs, set them aside and allowed them to re-acclimate to the referees locker room but instead they decided for some inexplicable reason to re-inflate the suspected footballs, essentially destroying the evidence and put them back into the game despite having 20 or so spare footballs in a bag ten feet away from them.

So even if they initially thought the Patriots were cheating, there was a time early on that they realized the Ideal gas law or the weather was the real culprit and they chose to spend 20 million dollars to save face.

    So yes I'm worried too.

Exponent tried to prove the deflation wasn't natural. And yes they are hired guns for big corps.

Leaving aside fans who don't want to learn the truth because the deflategate lie is a convenient way to try to undercut the Patriots' success the rest of the NFL fanbases who have bothered to look into this come around to reality pretty quickly.

r/NFL on reddit is like 100% convinced deflategate was a sham.

It was just an attempt by the other 31 to try to derail the unstoppable train that this franchise was and might still be. Can't really blame them, having the greatest coach of all time and the greatest QB of all time is just not fair.

The real blame lies with the press who instead of being skeptics assumed their role of sycophants to the powers that be. Had they not done so this would not have stood.
False narratives let stand without consequence. Sadly typical of today's "journalism".

Who could spill the beans on this? Before being hired by the NFL, Troy Vincent tried to become head of the NFLPA. If somehow he switched sides during these negotiations, he could leak everything as a means to get discipline power away from Goodell. Probably, a pipe dream.
