Lol.. I'm sure @signbabybrady would oblige that not all rap I'd say is good.. but for the most part it is.. it's the most popular, most cultivated music in the world.

I cannot relate to the Beatles or some music genres but I respect it, and I don't call it crap because I don't listen to it.. that's the difference. People get what they "don't like, or don't listen to twisted with being crap. However hip-hop is a culture, a way if life, a form or expression that no other form of music can do to connect the world.

The Beatles were phenomenal for what they were able to do in thier era. Some of rap sure I can do without However the golden era was late 80s to 90s. Hip-hop is a way of life for all nationalities they can relate too in some way shape or form.

Rap is CRAP, always has been.

But John Lennon was overrated what did he do after he left the Beatles?

I can't Imagine where you're coming from. Mind Games maybe? Perhaps you're just a Jealous Guy. But hey Whatever Gets You Through The Night.
(We could probably do this all day but I'll stop here and show myself out)

Yep. Music is all about taste, mood, and the moment.

I love the freaking Beatles. But I also love good classical music, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Nirvana, old school Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, etc.

I'm a sucker for catchy tunes and rhythm....could be Rianna, Dua Lipa, old Dr Dre, Kanye West, etc...

I struggle with Jazz, The Scorpions, and The Who. Doesn't mean they are bad. Just means for whatever reason I struggle listening to it more than 30 seconds.
Rw, as usual you Knock it out the park. Well said brother. I can respect your taste in music. I learned that as I got older i respect all forms of music even if I don't listen too it.. I think Taylor swift is phenomenal and makes great music.. but do I listen to her music in my plays list lol.. probably not. Anything late 80s, 90s early 2000s I'm game for. As you mentioned something with a catchy tune and nice melody to it.

Only at the usual suspects, meaning mostly Felger and the Squeak, whoever is blathering at WEEI and to a lesser extent, Curran and the other jackasses they bring on to those shows.
It's been sad to see how far down sports talk radio and tv have gone in my lifetime.

Here come the haters my guy.. .. I've got friends from all backgrounds in life different nationalities. I've gotten plenty of panties dropped by simply playing some snoop or LL...

I hate the ****ing Eagles, man.

John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, produced by Phil Spector, is amongst the best albums of all time.

I suppose that you think less of Heath Ledger for only making one so so movie after The Dark Knight.

And sometimes it's about the lack thereof.
Me, I'd like to think there's room under the tent for most everything. Not necessarily under my tent of course but a tent... somewhere. Some of which would be best pitched far from me.

in the interest of full disclosure as I type this, Miles Davis is playing in the background. My better half is off doing better half things with 'the girls' so Sunday morning jazz is the mood of this moment.

Apparently the humor of signbabybrady's post wasn't as clear as he might have hoped. I think most of us can identify with that, we really do need a sarcasm font

Miles Davis. Suddenly I must respect your opinions. I'm going for John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman. Try WICN 90.5 in Worcester.

I suppose rap is crap is a bad way of putting it. But I think we can agree to disagree about rap.

That list and your comment about culture is accurate, though I'm not sure what they mean by most popular. Any form that crosses over into different cultures will likely be more popular. The reason Latin music is lower is because it doesn't cross over as much as rap, but if I had a choice I'd choose Latin, electronic or dance over rap any day.

I'm also more into country lately. I leased a car a few years ago that had some country music still loaded into the jukebox and it got me interested.

The thing is, everyone would have a different list, as @RobertWeathers pointed out earlier. And nobody is right or wrong.

Don't let my good taste in music fool you. I'm still an idiot about most things, my wife would be happy to expound on that at length
Coltrane, Mingus, Monk, Hartman and a slew of others have already played btw.

Oh I enjoy the dialogue on the forum and I am an open minded person. I was raised this way. I have met and befriended many different people from all over the world and one thing I've come to understand is that we have more in common than not with one another.

Some Latino music has cultivated into hip-hop, it's called regatone, rap is the genre, hip-hop is the culture to be clear. As I mentioned I don't listen to country as rap, r&b is my preferred choice but I think there are some wonder country artists out.. I don't listen to every single rap song but I wouldn't say it's crap.. I agree there is no right or wrong with music every one has thier preference.

F*ck All That Jazz!

I didn't know Diggs was "dating" Cardi B... If I did, I would have panicked when the Pats signed him.
I really hope they had an escape clause for "conduct detrimental..." and they better pull the plug now.
We can't let this fool drag down a very trepidatious WR corp. Bourne is the most solid character/work ethic influence in this room, and we don't need Williams to be another bust because of Digg's incendiary influence.

I don't know man. On the one hand Bob Fosse was an egotistical douche, on the other Roy Scheider was a criminally underappreciated actor and he killed that part (as usual)
