One thing I noticed the last time I watched it was White's one handed snag during the direct snap on the first 2 point conversion.

No hesitation at all. He snags it and runs it in. Boomshakalaka

Wow, I never caught that. Thanks for pointing that out.

This just further goes to show the degree of difficulty of some of these plays that they pulled off.

As much momentum as we had, there were definitely some scary close moments on some passes that had to be perfect.......and were.

Edelman's incredible catch stands out as one that could have been intercepted if it gets tipped at a slightly different angle.

The best part though, is that even after tying it up the game was still up for grabs. I mean, the Falcons could have taken the ball and got a field goal. All offseason we'd appreciate how the Pats put up a fight but would be agonizing how close we were to completing a historic comeback...........but oh wait, THEY FRIGGIN DID IT!!!!!

This is not the land of "what if's", "shoulda", "woulda", "coulda" or "so close", it happened.............and as if the football gods weren't already giving us a gift that would be remembered for eternity, but you throw in our own miracle catch too!!!!! I mean, you just have to pinch yourself. You can't make this stuff up.

That, it did. :D
I kept waiting for it to sink in...

And then, a few weeks ago, it hit me: That is just too much to absorb.

I've been on a High, ever since...

And I don't believe that the Universe will ever seem the same.

The greatest Coach of All Time and the greatest QuarterBack of All Time have led the greatest Dynasty of All Time into the Super Bowl...and yet are getting plastered.

...And not in a good way.

And then we mount the most epic ComeBack Victory in Super Bowl History!!

A ComeBack Victory Light Years beyond any previous ComeBack Victory.

A ComeBack Victory that dwarfs all previous ComeBack Victories.

What was it that somebody said in that awesome Video ~ awesome despite the presence of that vile, thieving, parasitical, disloyal ScumBag, Dennis Leary ~ about the RedSox that culminated ~ after editing!! ~ with the indescribably awesome 2004 Season?

If it'd been a Movie, it would've been a bad Movie...

Why? Because the Plot was flat out ridiculous.

Being a Yankee ~ being a Patriots & Red Sox & Celtics & Bruins Fan ~ has become the Fan equivalent of a medically dangerous overreaction to a dose of Viagra!! :D

I always take off the day after a Patriot's Super Bowl, I always joke that I'm not gonna get any sleep whether they win or lose.

See I always still go to work because even with little sleep it's fun to talk about the game with coworkers. The adrenaline of the night before helps to get through it.

OP, you are not alone. Seems like this gazoo geek in this thread is waiting for it to sink in as well: Patriots 2017 - State of Franchise

He is still so stunned by what Brady did to his team, and just refuses to accept the outcome, that he believes that game was proof of Brady's decline.

Man, this guy is just as bad as the insane gazoo person you referenced:

My take on their season. They won't dominate like years past. I agree with gazoo's and vandy's write up earlier. Brady is in decline. The system is what made him. Can't expect a 40 year to keep performing at such a high level. Cooks is a good WR but I don't think he's going to be worth all the talk. Plus they lost Blount. A major force.

1. Brady is in decline - ok... if not this year then next year. If not next year then surely the year after that....

2. The system is what made him - This one is my favorite. First - if true, then why don't other teams copy the Patriots' system? Lots of teams around the league have tried...o_O Brady stands in the pocket and runs the offense, throwing to WR's who have to read the defense the same as he does and adjusting plays to give the offense a favorable chance at a good outcome - if that's the system, sounds like something other teams should do, right?

Second - I love how other fans say crap like "oh he's a system QB" as if there are players in the league who somehow exist outside of the plane of an "NFL System."

3. Cooks... - yeah we'll take a Falcons fan's perspective on a former member of the team the Falcons fans hate the most. Though to be fair, Cooks' best game against the Falcons came back in 2014. So I guess we'll have to see how things go.

4. Blount ... I liked LG a lot when he was here, but it's not like the Patriots faced a ton of competition to retain the services of someone the poster referred to as "a major force." The Patriots are almost certainly going to be somewhere between "fine" and "explosive" at the RB position this year.

Anyways, that's enough analysis of crazy postings from another board out of me for quite a while. Just funny to see stuff like this and then constantly hear other fans/media talk about how delusional Patriots fans are...

One of Brady's best plays. It was the first quarter I believe, and he steps up in the pocket a little to the right and is getting ready to throw the ball. You can see the defender is going to get to him from behind as he's getting ready to throw it. I was cringing at this point. That's how Montana got injured once, blindsided.
This is one of the things that makes Brady great. He sensed he was about to get hit even though there was no way he saw the defender coming. He tucks the ball at the last instant and gets hammered without fumbling the ball. I breathed a sign of relief for Brady's health and for no turnover.

Everything had to go perfect on several occasions. (Two 2 point conversions etc) Not just for one drive. That's the mind-blowing thing about it!

All I remember thinking was we need a strip sack or a pick. I see high come around the edge, immediately thought... he's gonna strip him and we're gonna recover. It happened. Right then and there I just had a feeling we were comin back

After escaping doom on the almost pick above, the Pats continued that trend with the Bennett hold and subsequent dumb Bennett screen, leading to just a FG. The inability to finish drives in the 2nd quarter was such a stark contrast to the 4th quarter and OT. It's fascinating to rewatch.

If you watch the all-22, this play call was actually a nice idea. The problem looked to be poor execution. Bennett did a bad job of positioning on the field.. If he had done it correctly he would have been behind the rushing lineman and had two o-lineman leading him in for an easy TD.

The amazing part of the comeback was the players reaction. They never lost faith in their abilities. They didn't panic they did their job . I don't think any other team could have pulled off that comeback. BB has that team prepared and ready to play. He was so calm during that game it reassured the players that they were never truly out of the game.

BB knew this team was special before the playoffs, hence his now historic quote "Not This Team"! How right was he.

If not at that moment, when they panned to Brady all sorts of fired up and confident; I knew. Psycho Tom immediately bubbled to the surface after a brief outburst of excitement.

Ok - I gotta admit, I watched the actual SB game (taped in my DVR) about 5 times. Soaked in all the comments by everyone, and wondering how on the earth did the Pats players believe in themselves so much! Wow! I wil never get tired of this. :):)

Only thing that irks and confuses me: BB talking so much to Go-to-hell in the podium when the whole team was celebrating.

Oh well, the greatest coach can do whatever s*** he wants to, but I hope he did ask that sh*itface if he was enjoying the moment. :D

The thing that irks me the most is how the fuhrer shakes Brady's hand and he grabs and pulls him twice by the hand. Totally messed up. What a piece of ****.

I like this thread... we need more of this type of stuff.

Brady owned that moment. Goodell hated every minute of handing Kraft another Lombardi and Brady the MVP.

Even more remarkable is that it actually didn't. They finally get the TD promptly doink the XP. They get a terrific 3rd down conversion to Bennett and two sacks later they only get 3 out of it. An outstanding KO is wiped out immediately with a single blown coverage. And despite having all the momentum to start the tying possessio, the first play is nearly a sack and an interception.

That they just kept coming despite the already long odds and the unfortunate plays is truly impressive.
I liked Belichick's reaction to the FG after the game. "Well. We needed three...you know, to make it a two score game. So, that was OK."

Funny thing is, that's more or less what I said to my kid after they kicked the FG; I think I was more concerned that Gostkowski would miss the kick than I was about their ability to score two TD's. But, at the time, I was probably just delusional anyway.

The one thing that really goes unnoticed was how prepared our defense was. Outside of the plays where Freeman got loose, everything was contested. We contested all of Julio's catches, Hoopers td, and their big play to Gabriel only happened because he tripped Butler. If we hadn't given them momentum with the fumble, it sort of feels like we could have held their vaunted offense completely in check.

I have to say this sb win feels very different from the others. I felt the most joy from sb49 but this one has given me a feeling of completion that is hard to explain. After all of the other sb wins I always thought about instantly repeating but this one feels like a conclusion and no-one would be surprised if everyone in the organization simultaneously retired and road off into the sunset.

My Bro'nd I'ave been known to toss back a few Fizzy Lifting Drinks and refrain:

"God, I wish we were us...Wouldn't that be great???"

"To be us??? Life-long Fans of the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins???"

"That would be awesome...."

"Oh..."

"Wait a moment..."

"I believe that, in fact, we are!!"

Like I said: Usually after a few Fizzy Lifting Drinks. :D
