With DT Woodrow Hamilton on the PS it will be interesting to see if he is replaced by Johnson if the latter clears waivers.

To quote Aaron Rodgers--relax. Trust Bill. He always has a plan.

I still think for when the post week 4 dust settles that there are too many DB's on the roster......

Bb did talk up Shady today, so this makes sense.

Surprised by the Johnson news, thought he was impressive for us early on. Hopefully, Hughes can have an impact for us.

Anthony Johnson >>>Jonny Hughes, who was WAY over-drafted by one dumb-ass Brownies FO,
then signed to a mind-numbing extension by another dumb-ass Brownies FO.

This shuffling the deck at DT makes Zero sense.

Browns injuries responsible for his release (although he had fallen to the outskirts of the roster). But it's the Browns.
Hughes, a third-round pick in 2012 out of Cincinnati, was a surprise inactive Sunday against the Ravens. He missed several weeks of training camp with a personal issues, which set him back. Heading into camp, he was penciled in as a starting defensive end.

The Browns needed to make room for quarterback Charlie Whitehurst, who signed a one-year deal on Monday night, and center Austin Reiter, who was signed off the Redskins practice squad.

Hughes appeared in 53 games with 10 starts. He registered 65 tackles, 5.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. He appeared in one game this season.
Browns waive 7th-round linebacker Scooby Wright and cut DL John Hughes

.... and subsequently signed by another dumb ass FO. Oh, wait.

This shuffling the deck at DT makes Zero sense.
The Pats current DT's appear to be either space eaters or nascar types who are shuffled inside as needed. Johnson is a space eater type who might simply be a better fit with this present roster makeup?

the way I see it is that with his lost weight, his only trick was that he became a slower version of guys we already have on the roster (long, sheard, flowers) and we already have grissom on the practice squad.....

Hughes is here for a week or so.........and then the point is moot

How about you start with the guys that haven't contributed anything like Roberts/Harbor.
IRRELEVANT

Harbor is our #3 TE. We could chose another.

Roberts is a backup LB, a stand in for Ninkovich until he comes back.

Belichick decided to upgrade the DT position.
============
Next week, I expect to see Roberts out and Ninkovich back.

With regard to cutting player for Brady, one of the QB's could be put on IR or one of the TE could be cut.
