Florio has turned into a total idiot this offseason. I’m wondering if he’s struggling to pay the bills with the two overpaid bozos on the payroll now. His reporting has totally changed...it had actually become quite reputable and now it’s lower quality than ever. A bunch of fake news reports that he keeps doubling and tripling down on, even knowing they are bs.

It started with just Saints fans and has somehow spiraled into being the national consensus that Taysom Hill is an actual NFL QB. One of the craziest cases of media derangement about a player's value in recent memory. We're talking about Tim Tebow without the college legend (and with a better attitude about playing other roles).

Tebow was exponentially more accomplished as a passer in college and wasn't 30 years old with three major surgeries, including a Lisfranc fracture. I think Tebow could return to football right now and immediately be a substantially better quarterback than Taysom Hill, in their deserved roles as XFL backups.

This offseason Brees talked about how seriously he was considering retiring and how important family is...then he played in the pro bowl...lol. Then he accepted the starting job from Russell Wilson, which was presumably because it was Brees’s last game.

All the retirement talk again conveniently changed the narrative that he’s become Peyton 2.0 and can be expected to crap his pants in the postseason. I’m not a Rodgers fan, but for the seeming millionth time Rodgers did more to win a Super Bowl than Brees, but the takeaway is that Rodgers failed while poor little Brees was let down by...err....just choose a generic excuse.

Oh god people are suggesting acquiring Taysom Hill to play quarterback again

After taking some time to sober up, I’m with you on this one. I suspect Payton is just dropping bait for other teams to consider signing Hill. I bet he’d be thrilled to rip some team off should they offer a first round pick if he he tenders Hill at that level. He’s probably trying to gauge the market...it makes no sense he’d really want to commit franchise QB money to this guy.

Yeah ever since NBC (and essentially the league) bought out his site he’s been a shill for the NFL and lost all credibility along with his sense of humor. His site used to be a fun read in its earlier days and used to call the league out on some of the stupid things it does. Now he seems to think he’s significantly more important than he is and doubles down on some of his stupid takes on Twitter and then gets pissy with anyone who disagrees. He apparently actually tried to get Andy Hart fired from Patriots.com because Andy made fun of him reporting that Terry Bradshaw died years ago.

His recent stuff about how the league will get their way with the 17 game schedule so there’s no point in resisting it sounded like he was the Minister of Propaganda.

I think the league uses him as one of their many mouthpieces to float their ideas out there early and often to minimize the uproar for any predictably unpopular decisions.

Manning and Rodgers get blasted for their post season play. But not Brees. It's never his fault the Saints lose. Never mind the fact that in the playoffs since 2013, he's put up

12 Touchdowns
8 Interceptions
5 Fumbles

And leading them to an average of 22.7 a game, which isn't that impressive when you consider the fact that 5 of the 7 have been in a dome.

I'm sure we'll see him smiling and waving to the crowd when he hits the 80,000 regular season passing yards mark this year. Then fast forward 2 months and we'll see him with that sad puppy dog look he always has on the sidelines after another playoff exit.
