It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Especially in hindsight, it looks even better.I have no idea how this season is going to end up for the Patriots. But I do know one thing, I’m damn glad that Drake Maye is a Patriot and will be for years to come. I still can’t believe that NE got him with the #3 pick.
Agree. I loved Maye much more than the other two as well, and he has exceeded even my lofty expectations thus far.Especially in hindsight, it looks even better.
I preferred Maye over both Williams and Daniels.
Williams is playing well lately but I am still concerned about his makeup.
Daniels is unfortunately showing why my concerns over his durability were well-founded.
I thought Rogers myself. When the ball comes off his hand it seems effortless.Luck is a very good comparison overall especially in terms of pocket movement, size and football IQ.
More like Allen than Mahomes to me with the off-script plays and running ability.
Mahomes is actually a below average processor and scrambles a ton if first read isn't open. He is elite at scrambling and can make up for his lack of processing skills. Some of the off-script stuff is similar but not quite the same.
Mayes throwing motions is 100% Aaron Rodgers. Luck was more of a hold the ball high type thrower. Drake is more of a Rodgers thrower, and I think is more accurate because of it.
Sometimes the Third QB turns out really good in the lot. D Watson - J Herbert - Josh Allen and Drake Maye were all the Third QB's taken.Agree. I loved Maye much more than the other two as well, and he has exceeded even my lofty expectations thus far.
Where did they add the nickname? They added his nickname to his profile if that doesn't state arrived.....
Where did they add the nickname?
He is the immortal Drake "Drake Maye" Maye!Where did they add the nickname?
I just saw another video talking about Maye and how good he has, and one guy said he knows of several teams who had a SECOND round grade on Maye.
WHO IN THE EVER LIVING **** WOULD THINK THAT lol.
At no point have I watched Drake Maye and felt like I was watching someone with the ability to become a top-10 quarterback in the NFL. His footwork needs fixing, he misses too many easy throws and his decision making is highly erratic at times. He lacks the supreme physical upside to balance out the flaws. The magical moments often felt a bit flukey, rather than inspired.
I don’t think he’s a bad prospect. I have him in round two, essentially as a top-45 player. I rate him in the same way I rated Jordan Love. He was given time and patience to develop and that’s what Maye needs.
I also understand why a team would take him as early as say third overall. When you need a quarterback, you have to take shots. If you put him on a team with a sensational offensive mind and let him sit for a year or two, that would be an attractive proposition. I’d have a hard time trading a massive haul for him though — and neither the Commanders or the Patriots have that sensational offensive mind leading their teams.
If I were New England, I’d take whatever Minnesota’s offering to get up to #3 and if they’re determined to draft a quarterback — I’d take Michael Penix Jr at #11 instead, after collecting a haul of picks.
You sure that is not BB? I love the dude but this is what he would have done.A lot of people, apparently.
Here's Rob Staton from Seahawksdraftblog, a guy who does his own scouting with a good eye. Had a 2nd round grade on Maye:
he doesnt look like the type to pad his stats, with that said, he will put up over 300yds and 3 tdsIf Drake wants MVP he needs to pad his stats in this one. Not just play great but really run up those numbers, cause the numbers matter.
I think the Luck + Mahomes comparison to how Drake plays is pretty spot on. I think that is closer to his game than Rodgers.

It's coming down to whether he or Matt Stafford gets the #1 seed.If Drake wants MVP he needs to pad his stats in this one. Not just play great but really run up those numbers, cause the numbers matter.

I have had this thought for a while now. Teams like the Browns and Falcons have bad records, but both had top 5 D's when the Pats played them. The Bucs had a top 10 D too IIRC.They have had the weakest schedule in decades and it’s really not debatable….its ok to admit this.
As long as we win by 1 point, I'm happy with any game. It's all about the W, there are no style points.I have had this thought for a while now. Teams like the Browns and Falcons have bad records, but both had top 5 D's when the Pats played them. The Bucs had a top 10 D too IIRC.
There is no doubt that the Pats have had a really easy schedule, but the offense has faced a much harder task as a group.
The only thing that makes THIS game interesting to me is too see the Bengal offense match up against our D. If we score less than 30 it will be an upset to me. That and the curse of the first drive, and wondering if we will ever score a 4th quarter TD are my major points of interest for this game.
Especially in hindsight, it looks even better.
