I was reflecting on the 2014 SB and how a UDFA Malcolm Butler was a key player in the outcome. That got me to thinking about other UDFA's on our team and what round the other players were drafted. This list just includes the 53 man roster and not those on the reserve list or practice squad.
1st round: 5 drafted and 1 drafted by another team for a total of 6
2nd round: 7 drafted and 2 drafted by another team for a total of 9
3rd round: 2 drafted and 1 drafted by another team for a total of 3
4th round: 5 drafted and 0 drafted by another team for a total of 5
5th round: 2 drafted and 3 drafted by another team for a total of 5
6th round: 3 drafted and 2 drafted by another team for a total of 5
7th round: 1 drafted and 0 drafted by another team for a total of 1
UDFA : 6 signed and 13 signed by another team for a total of 19
31 players drafted and signed by us and 22 players previously drafted and signed by another team.
The breakdown of the UDFA:

Jonas Gray UDFA signed by the Dolphins in 2013
James Devlin UDFA signed by Bengals in 2010 (prev spent time playing in AFL and UFL)

Ryan Allen UDFA signed by Patriots in 2013

Not sure what it all means but that the largest group all started out as UDFA sure is interesting. The best reason I came up with was managing the cap. Finding talent that you don't have to pay alot for.
