After yesterday, the Pats are at the top in the BCS poll. Lets see what happens in November against some real teams before we clear a place for the trophy.

Just makes me really wish we could have gotten that Denver game for a shot at home field throughout...

don't worry about denver. they have a brutal schedule ahead including San Diego (tonight), Giants, Baltimore. They will likely finish the season at 10-6 so that would take them out of the running for home field. I can see them winning their division and playing a team like baltimore in the first round.

true but we did have some quality wins against baltimore and atlanta. we should have won at denver too.

Yes, one win over the #31 pass-defense in the league (playing without their corners and nickel) has made the difference between us competing for the playoffs to competing for a bye.

no, we "shouldn't" have won in Denver...we were outplayed in virtually every phase of the game in the second half and we deserved to lose...and don't tell me that we "would have" won if Ghost hadn't missed his FG...that's not why we lost...

November? I'm just thinking about the Bucs on Sunday myself. Oakland and the Chiefs both won games yesterday, the Raiders against a heavily favored team...one game at a time...

the Atlanta win was "quality"...the Baltimore win was hard fought, but ultimately lucky when Clayton dropped that pass...nothing wrong with a little luck BTW, but let's be honest with ourselves...

The Jets philosophy of moving up in the draft to draft "quality" over "quantity", trading away picks for players, and signing free agents thus losing comp picks has combined to create a situation where their team has good to great starters and no depth. This is compounded when you miss on a pick like Gholston. Every team has misses in FA and the draft, but you have a chance to compensate for the misses with more picks as long as Bobby Grier isn't making the picks.

As Pats fans we would all love to have players like Revis, or Harris, but would we want to have the Jets 53 player roster over the Pats, even if we remove QB from the equation?

Excellent point!

Yes but what about the Jets philosophy that games are won or lost with yuor mouth before you play them? Clearly they have scared and intimidated everyone to not even want to show up.....
