As to why you don't see it happen, has more to do with the hours the players know the coaches put in, than the opportunities that exist. While certainly not as physically demanding, players see that for every hour THEY put in during the season, the coaching staff is putting in 2. The Players know that the is very little off season for the coaches, while their off season is months long. Coaching is hard, especially at that level. The players know that. Its not for everyone
