Dolphins are getting desperate. These are moves that should've happened early in the off-season or during FA.

Remember the **** the SNF crew talked about towards Gesicki in their first meeting in 2023? They said the team let him walk because he can't block. Symthe has been so bad at receiver, they brought in Smith in 2024 who made the most of his opportunities. They don't want to pay him, so now they think they're going to land Pitts? Even if they land him, here's how the season is going to play out:

Weeks 1-8 - Media: "Wow! The Dolphins' offense is so fast and McDaniel is so creative with the razzle dazzle"
Weeks 9-17: Media "Dolphins are struggling because of Tua's injury, they can't run the football and defenses are loading coverage on Hill/Waddle."

How is Pitts an upgrade over Smith? Smith had almost 300 more yards, 40 more receptions, and 6 more TD’s last season.

The Fins have gone another direction. Not Pitts, but Waller. As mentioned above the Phins traded 2 day 3 picks for the rights to Darren Waller who retired before last season from the Giants after 2 very invisible seasons in NY due to injuries. In

They still have good WR’s, but that OL is garbage, and their D has been getting worse and worse. This is going to be MacDaniels last year.

So many people badly overrate Pitts, because they’re still remembering the player who received an insane amount of draft hype and then was overdrafted. They still think that he is a elite-TE-in-waiting. Even during his 1000 yard rookie season, he put up only one TD, which is laughable for a 6’6” tight end. Can’t block, doesn’t score TDs.
