Does the NFL admit they screwed up again?

It amazing, after all the complaining we hear from other fan bases, I dont think there is any other team that has more false accusations (taping practices, tampering with headsets) or blown calls (2006 afcc - facegaurding, 2013 week 7 vs Jets) that requires the NFl to admit they were wrong and the Pats were screwed. I wonder if it happens this time.

Can we stop this? Did the Patriots make mistakes? Yes. Did that refs blow that game? Yes. And it's not an either/or.

And frankly, they far from screwed themselves. They were playing one of the best NFL teams, on the road, on Monday night, in an extremely loud stadium, and fought for 60 minutes. They made some mistakes, but they played some damn good football last night.

I'll be honest... after looking at replays I don't think that's as "obvious" a missed call as it looked at first. The throw just was not made to an area where it was obviously a catchable ball. I wouldn't have had a problem with it if they let it slide. But I do have a problem with the fact a flag WAS thrown and then they just picked it up with no explanation.


Anyway not gonna blame the refs. Talib's sub par game, Solder's missed block on a drive killing sack, some bad penalties, the weird play call on 3rd and 1, failure to contain Cam on 4 runs, and of course Ridley's fumble all were bigger contributors to the loss than that last play.

The Pats have a much bigger game Sunday night and they've gotta be better than that if they want to stop the Broncos.

It doesn't amaze me anymore. The calls have become almost like a coin flip, especially at the end of games.

Most close games now remind me of the last drive of the 2007 Pats game in Baltimore when the Ravens defense committed one foul after another and then argued with the refs about all the calls going against them.

On the bright side, I think the offense answered some questions last night. That is a good thing moving forward.

Well you cant play well every game. You cant outscore a team by 24 pts all the time like the Pats did vs. Pitt. The Pats played a very good team team with a great defense on the road and were in a position to win the game on the last play of the game. The Refs (or the ref who changed the call) made a bad call. I think the NFL should address it.

Initial contact with Gronk happened basically at the same spot where the int was made. Gronk was clearly trying to come back for the ball and the ball still would have traveled another couple of yards if not for the int. How many times do we see PI called on an underthrown ball where the CB is not looking back and runs into the WR who is trying to come or reach back to make a play? That is always called PI, how is this any different?

They almost pulled it off too. Incredible.

It's strange how much better the Pats are than most teams at the end of games. The slightest amount of time left on the clock goes a long way for them.

So what? Any team that ever plays a close game can't complain about the refs? I'm sure the NFL crews will be reminded this weekend, "It doesn't matter if we blow a close game, because that team should have done more to avoid our incompetence."

The refs can change their mind if they determine the ball is not catchable. We actually lost that game long ago, so it should never have come to that. A disappointing performance after a long bye.They look soft and rusty.
