1. show something in preseason and bring more back in a trade than they spent on him
2. show something in the event Maye is injured
3. show something in the event that Maye proves to suck in 2 years
There is no universe in which your first rounder makes his first start and flashes all the potential you could hope for, and you say “**** it, put in the 6th rounder.”
Milton could see some snaps in blowouts, and if the coaching staff is going to be too scared to let Maye try to complete a drive at the end of a game, maybe they should put Milton in for those.
If the current trend continues, he may have to at one point. Can he play tackle?
NOWhat does everyone think?
My hypothetical is that Maye is NOT injured, just team wants to see what JMIII has for 2-3 games.
Any chance this happens???
To get up to speed with the NFL game. If the coaches feel he's ready then barring injury there's no reason anymore to start anyone else.I doubt that....
Well Maye did look great, but what exactly is the benefit of him starting every game for the rest of the year?
The "garbage" part of the season is all the more suitable to get him more experience.Do we really need him risking serious injury, even for 2 extra games, when we are 3-12 in Dec, at that point he should have had enough starts on his resume.
He's a long term project and still would be.If we start JMIII for the last 2 games and he balls out, we would have a very interesting trade chip on our hands. If he doesn't ball out, you really lost nothing except a couple of games and improved your draft position.
Bring Bledsoe back give him a shot
wait a minute or two...WTF? Quite possibly the dumbest post I’ve seen on this board.
Of course, you'd then need to have two more QBs come in next year.If we start JMIII for the last 2 games and he balls out, we would have a very interesting trade chip on our hands. If he doesn't ball out, you really lost nothing except a couple of games and improved your draft position.
I'm definitely with you on that.I don't get the fascination with milton.
Lose nothing aside from confidences of the guy you picked 3, locker room, dignity. But yeah let’s do it **** it.I doubt that....

You and me both. Wonder if he’d be down or if his ego will only let him be qb. Dudes big enough for TE and could truck people easily. Honestly don’t think his heart would be in it from what I’ve read about him.I’d love to see Milton attempt a Taysom Hill type of role, but I don’t think that’s happening.
