Do we think Gronk is done?

I believe one of Gronk's 3 back surgeries was considered a very minor/routine "clean up" and including it in with the shocking number of back surgeries should perhaps be taken as a bit of rhetoric.

It's Thomas Gill. He's just being Thomas Gill and doing Thomas Gill things. The Pats fired him for a reason.

Gill gonna Gill?

there should be a ban on using the term "chicken littles". So dorky.
And so appropriately and accurately descriptive of the...chicken littles...

I don't think he is made of glass at all. He plays with reckless abandon.. you can't do anything about ACL injuries they can happen to anyone. And when you break an arm and then rush back to play and it breaks again isn't glass. Poor decisions and bad luck.

His back is an issue though obviously. He has had back problems since at least college.

Yeah, this "made of glass" stuff kills me. LOL, you have broken every tight end record ever set but you are "made of glass".

Doesn't work that way. Made of glass means you have never been able to sustain any success at all at any level physically. He gets hurt sure, but that's all because of the way he plays.

It's a valid assessment considering the amount of punishment he has endured throughout his NFL career, I don't think he is ready to call it a career yet, however if he keeps getting injured like this I don't see his career lasting more than another couple years at max.

It's Thomas Gill, sure, but this Gronk's third disk surgery in the last seven years. He also plays the toughest position, from a physicality standpoint, in the NFL. Gronk is my favorite player, so I hope he can come back. But, if he doesn't, nobody should be surprised.

Unless Gill was asked to participate in Gronk's surgery and subsequent treatment, I don't care much for his opinion.

It is fair to say that he will be lucky to play until he is 30.

It literally says in the very next paragraph that most of what Gill said is not applicable because Gronk has not had three surgeries on the same disc.

Of course he isn't made of glass. Anyone who thinks that is an idiot. But disc problems are not something to take lightly. He could easily be done. We'll see.

this thread is idiotic...it's the OP's OPINION, not anyone else's, but he obviously has a need to include everybody else so he can fret alone in his safe space munching his cupcakes...

"Made of glass"...what a crock. Not to mention indicative of a colossal lack of understanding as to why he is injured frequently.

Don't take it so literally.

Made of glass=he's always hurt

Dumb thread.

Gronk will be fine. He has a year to get ready..

Absolutely Not....Cannot fathom Gronk being done in the prime of his career.

I've got a recently diagnosed disc problem. May need surgery, but I'm told I'll still be good to do airborne jumps afterward.

Point is...not all disc injuries are created equal and since this Gill guy isn't Gronk's doctor, he doesn't know the actual pathology of the injury, so maybe he should just shut his man-pleaser.
