Do we have a Pro-Bowl/All-Pro kicker in the making?

Andy Borregales has been lights out since the Raiders game. Do you think he’ll make All-Pro his rookie year? Who else is killing it this year? Jaguars kicker Cam Little? Chargers kicker ****er has been excellent & Colts starting kicker Schrader was the best before his season ending injury, so he’s out of the way. With the weather changing for the “worst” here’s to hoping he’s able to sustain his success; being that he’s used to kicking in sunny Miami. Obviously, he’s gonna be essential for our playoff run.

No.

I loved the Andres Borregales pick when it was made, he’s the one kicker I wanted them to get out of this rookie class. And he’s been solid. But no, he is not a consideration for All-Pro. Cameron ****er leads the NFL in both FG attempted (25) and made (23). If you include XP (where he’s made all 23 attempts so far), he has 92 points scored, accounting for 38.33% of the Chargers’ points scored on the season, leading all kickers in both categories. ****er is the choice if the season ended today. But I’m glad we have Borregales, he looks like a keeper.

Of course you jinx the kid and he misses an easy kick in the Jets game. Let's just see how it goes. Young kid with a big leg but the pressure kicks are the most important ones. He will create his own legacy if he can nail the important ones.

He'll have to make a 80 yarder to get the nod in the AFC. With H Butker KC and Cam Little Jags. That said I trust the kid.

Borregales has certainly looked the part as a legit NFL kicker since the first couple of games (rookie K nerves). I doubt he’ll be a pro bowl K this season but I can see it in his near future if he keeps up his current form.

Now let’s see how he performs in the play-offs

If he can figure out the cold weather stuff, he will.
That's my big concern as the weather gets nasty and the field conditions decline how is this kid going to do. I cant help but think the weather plays a huge factor in a kickers ability to put the ball between the uprights. Its a distraction from focusing on the objective. If I were him I would want to be outside kicking as much as I could ever day the weather is bad to have those experiences.

He is. It's all reps.

The kid has been solid
When he has missed in games.
He came right back in those same games and nailed a more pressure kick
It’s good to not have to worry about your kicker
I have PTSD from the Missin Sisson days

The entire Bills fanbase continues to be afflicted with PTSD from the Scott "Wide Right" Norwood days.

Not sure about all pro/pro bowl because there's limited spots for that across a league with 32 kickers. That kind of just goes with the ebb and flow of seasons. Kicking can be high variance year to year. I'm less concerned about him achieving those specific awards and more concerned with the general question of if this a guy we can feel good about our kicking situation with annually. Through 12 games, it seems a resounding yes so far so we'll have to hope he stays like that amidst the year to year variance.

If he can pass the cold weather/playoff pressure tests, we may have something special.
